Overall my stay was pleasant! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good as well. It’s right off of I87/287 highway so getting to NYC was quick and convenient. Additionally, the staff was very friendly, and they were very accommodating when I had to extend my stay for a couple extra days. My mom had surgery in Manhattan and her stay got extended so therefor I had to extend my stay at this hotel as well. They took care of it for me, which I appreciated. The only two complaints I have are: 1.) When I requested housekeeping to clean my room I figured they would provide me with more toilet paper, especially since the roll I had was essentially done. When I got back to my hotel room that night I noticed there wasn’t any toilet paper left. (I understand, perhaps housekeeping forgot to leave a roll or two. Fine.) So I called down to the front desk to request some be brought to my room. Again, that was fine. But what wasn’t fine was that I waited for almost an hour and still no one had brought the toilet paper up to my room, so I had to call again. Finally some was brought up to me. But I didn’t care for the fact that I had to wait almost an hour plus call down to the desk twice before someone came. 2.) On one of my last days there I had asked the front desk staff to have someone check my toilet while I was out. It had clogged. I was told no problem. When I got back to my room which was around 10pm that evening my toilet was still clogged and once again I had to call the front desk to have someone sent to my room. Not good. To top it off, the next day the toilet decides to explode all of this water out, and it got everywhere. On the floor, on me, it leaked through the carpet in the hallway of the room. It was a disaster, and so time for me to leave! I did mention it to the staff for them to check their toilets because I shouldn’t have to cringe and hold my breath every time I need to use the bathroom. Otherwise, my stay was pleasant as I previously mentioned, and it is a pretty...
Read moreThis stay was not what I would call good... It was in fact a poor experience. By this I mean. I arrived at 3.50pm to get checked into a room that I was informed would be ready for check in at 3pm... The room was not ready, and i was told they would try to have it ready in 20-25 mins.I explained that that was not acceptable. I was told I could wait in the lobby area...I again explained that that was not acceptable. Another employee jumped in to say, I could sit in the lobby. Now I am irritated. I explained in more detail that I could not very well change in the lobby, being that I had to change and get to a wedding in Yonkers for 5.30...He then started to challenge me. Started telling me how he didn't like the tone of my voice. I then dismissed him and suggested he move away and let me deal with the situation with the desk clerk...who by the way was VERY, VERY, helpful, and whom I had no issues with, because she was doing everything she could to accommodate. The real problem was with the cleaning crew and their supervisor , who kept telling her the wrong things. I even offered for them to allow me to change, and then they could have the room to complete getting it ready. They told her to tell me that it wasn't protocol for me to do that. To which I responded that it wasn't protocol to not have the room ready. At this time the desk associate, Aaliyah, who as I said was very helpful, and who I had NO ISSUES with, and she knew that, suggested that I would be reimbursed 50% for all the stress that I encountered, and gave me the room key to allow me and my wife to change and be on our way. This is where I say common sense made more sense than "protocol".So my review will be....Great job handling a difficult situation by the desk associate, Aaliyah...Poor job by the room ready crew. And a terrible job by the associate who decided to challenge me in what was a difficult situation, instead of finding a way to help.5 STARS for Aaliyah1 STAR for Cleaning Crew(-0)...

The staff, especially Chris, at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure our problems were addressed quickly and efficiently without any hassle. I was very thankful for his customer service skills during our stay. The rooms were fairly nice- spacious and the beds were comfortable. I do feel they need to put some attention into their housekeeping department. The first room we checked into was not cleaned and had food left on the floor. We were moved to a second room that had dirty bedding (sticky stains on the comforter, makeup on the pillow cases) and hair left on the tub in the bathroom. After bringing these issues to their attention our bedding was replaced, the room was cleaned, and I was compensated for the trouble(which I wasnt expecting but it was totally appreciated and to me made up for the issues). I do recommend that you fully check the room before you unpack if you are staying here. Reading the other reviews this seems to be a common problem. I hope management looks into this more. Location of the hotel convenient and easy to access. Property outside and in the lobby was well maintained and there was plenty of parking. Our younger kids were disappointed about the pool being drained, which we didn’t know about prior to our stay. Staff told us the pool is closed until further notice due to new local regulations of needing a life guard. Breakfast in the morning is typical of a Hampton which offers a selection of eggs, sausage, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, and juices. The staff member working breakfast (I didn’t get her name) was really on top of her job, kind and helpful. The whole area was clean, well stocked, and quickly replenished as needed, which was great. All of the staff that we met seemed kind, helpful and did their job well. I truly believed thats what made a difference...
