🌳 Scenic Hudson Park – A Peaceful Gem by the Hudson River 🌊 Scenic Hudson Park is one of Yonkers’ most beautiful hidden gems. Nestled right along the Hudson River, this park offers breathtaking views of the water and the Palisades across the river, especially during sunset. It’s clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing walk or an afternoon picnic. The walking trails are well-maintained and great for a light jog or stroll. There are plenty of benches throughout the park where you can sit and take in the views, plus open green spaces that are ideal for kids to play or to lay out a blanket and unwind. What I love most is how family-friendly and safe it feels. You’ll often see people walking their dogs, enjoying the waterfront, or simply soaking in the fresh air. There are even a few spots for fishing, and the park is rarely overcrowded. Parking is usually easy, and the park is kept very clean. It’s a great escape from the hustle of the city without having to go far. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful and scenic spot to relax, walk, or spend quality time with loved ones. A true gem in Westchester!

This village was home to my family for many years, and we spent countless hours at this gorgeous park right on the Hudson River. The views from here are spectacular; you can see the Manhattan skyline, Piermont across the river and the former Tappan Zee Bridge now Mario Cuomo Bridge. It has a walking/running track that is 1/2 mile long and circles the park. I still visit it to run and take walks. Sunsets are stunning and you sit in your car or on a bench and enjoy the setting sun. It remains one of my favorite parks in Westchester County.

A very quiet and cute little park right on the river. There were not many people there when I went. It’s an 8 min walk from the train station and the wonderful Ludy cafe. There are many park benches and a basketball court, as well as a small path that goes along the riverfront. It is easy to sit on the rocks along the shore if you want, but there is not a lot of shade to be found during hot days. It seems to be a well taken care of local favorite as well as attracting people from out of town as well.

The Irvington Hudson Park is a gem! I'm afraid to even write anything for fear it will become over crowded. This park has 2 baseball fields, basketball hoops, an open green space, and a path that goes around the whole park that is lighted. There are beautiful memorials dedicated to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 World Trade buildings and those who helped. At the South end of the park, facing the Manhattan skyline, there is a placque and two granite rectangles, which symbolize the two World Trade Towers, where people leave rocks and special tokens for those who have passed away. Along the path are comfortable benches and let's not forget the beautiful view of the Hudson River, Tappan Zee Bridge, the view across the river and the Manhattan skyline. People run/jog, picnic, lounge around, play sports, chit chat and take in the scenery. There are water fountains and the bathrooms are clean. Watch the ships, sailboats and kayaks go by along with the geese. In every season that I've been to this park, it is...

So if your family is looking for a place where you can do a barbecue and be with family in a very quiet neighborhood, I totally recommend this location. One is not that far away from New York City. It's like at least 25 minutes away and the weather was beautiful. But let me tell you how clean the park is and how amazing the people around there is. These people are so clean that you wouldn't want to drop anything on the floor. But let me tell you this. The park has sand a play park for a little kids and also a barbecue area which is amazing because a lot of people like to do barbecue but then in some locations you continue listening to loud music and it gets annoying I know but this location is the best. You should...
