Came here on a Sunday at 4:30pm and were the first to arrive for an early dinner. I had been looking for a good Indian restaurant in the area for quiet some time, had read the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. Disappointed is an understatement. My party of two received the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Since we were the first to arrive we had a choice of seating - except for two tables that had not been bussed, one of which by the window and we were told 10 mins for it to be cleaned up. No problem, we’ll sit somewhere else. We ordered one beverage, a sparkling and a still water. Another party of 4 enters shortly after and we placed our entire order once they were seated. We waited about 20 mins for two appetizers of samosa -while the party of four had received all 4 of their appetizers already. We had been there an hour and our main course comes out - meanwhile the party of 4 has received all of their main dishes...including mine! Our waiter delivers my boyfriend his entire meal & states my dish (Briyani) will be just a few moments. Another 10 minute goes by and my boyfriend is almost finished with his meal, and I have yet to receive mine. Turns out they delivered it to the other table and are making a new one for me! Another 20 minute wait! I declined the food and had what was left that my boyfriend was willing to share. Very poor communication and not very attentive! Another table of 4 enters requesting the window seat that was still dirty after our initial request (a whole hour+) There were 4 people working with three tables and no one seemed to care that dirty dishes and cups were left from the lunch rush! Our waiter visited our table more times after the food mishap than when we arrived! We will not be making the 30 minute trip for the sub-par food &...

I'm very disappointed that I have to write this review for Chutney Masala, a place that I loved so much. I picked up an order of vegetable biryani, bindi, garlic naan and 2 mango lassi's for a total of 52.00 and was so excited to dig in because this was one of my favorite Indian restaurants. To my suprise the food was terrible!!!!! It lacked flavor and was very very dry which is how I remember this food to be. The garlic naan (which is always a favorite) tasted like burned garlic instead of it's usual soft and hearty treat.

The only portion of my dinner that I enjoyed was the mango lassi. Everything else was so undesirable. Needless to say I will never order food from Chutney Masala again. I'm not sure what changed but I really hope things go back to the way it was 8 months ago. The price I paid for the food was absolutely not worth it and I wish that I can get my money back!!!

If this is your first time having Indian food I do not recommend this restaurant at all. It will definitely leave a bad taste in your mouth...

I really dislike writing bad reviews, but I ate here for my birthday October 18 '22, and it was very unpleasant. We weren't served dinner till about 8:30 for a 7:15 reservation, and drinks not until entrees. Think they forgot about them. Very slow service, hard to catch servers' eyes. The strange tasting cocktail was luke warm. Except for the mostly good chili chicken, all the food just tasted...off. Even the papadum was very strong, and the basmati rice had a taste almost like mold or heavily chlorinated water. No tastes were balanced. Needed, salt, needed tang, too sweet...etc. It's possible that these dishes were prepared according to valid regional or more Americanized tastes, but I thought it was way off if not outright tainted or spoiled. They did accommodate my seating request, and were fairly friendly. The takeout guys were running back and forth, so they were prioritizing take out. What about patrons who were actually there? Very unfortunate. Book a seat here...

We went on a recommendation and really liked it. We are vegetarian and there were many choices, not only in the veggie curry section (of which there are ~20 choices)…so read the menu if you’re vegetarian. I feel confident that the meat, etc is likely also excellent. We started with Hara Bhara Kebab and then we had Saufina Paneer Tikka, Punjabi Kadhi and Tofu Matar. (Wewanted to try some different things. See the menu for descriptions) The appetizer was tasty. Not a ton of cheese but a new (to us) variation on an Indian fried patty. The mains were very good. The Hara Bhara Kebab was my favorite. And we both loved the Dal Makhani that came with it. The Punjabi Kadhi was my partner’s favorite. Lots of sauce as opposed to the drier, but delicious tandoori spiced cheese with grilled peppers and onions. The Tofu Matar was good, but less flavorful. We will be back!

Happy surprise to find such amazing tasting Indian food in such an unexpected location - where one could get away with serving ordinary Indian food - which wasn't the case here. Flavorful without an overdose of spices, yet not washed out while trying to cater to scared palates. Good portions, service was attentive, ambience nice (maybe also because we got the window side table I normally prefer in a restaurant, overlooking the main street of this small town!). You can also try asking for items or variations beyond the menu and they do try to serve that. Paneer tikka with the saunf twist is worth mentioning, bhaturas reminded me of Delhi, avocado bhel was an interesting tasty appetizer, kids loved tofu manchurian and shrimps that they ordered. Kathi rolls had a good quantity & taste of filling.

So good! Had vegetarian food, Kati roll and a tofu dish. Only negative is that when you enter there are Smart Water bottles on all the tables. It’s almost like restaurants that put clear bottles on the table and my kids got there first, got confused and opened the bottle and poured the cups. That Smart Water cost $5 when tap water is free. But the restaurant defaulted to the Smart Water bottles being there on the tables waiting for you like the tap water bottles that are free. It’s a little misleading or encouraging you to pay for the bottles. They should provide water for free. Also too much plastic waste going this route.
