Shopped at this location today for hurricane relief supplies on behalf of the West Hempstead Lions Club that will be part of a shipment to Florida. My wife and I were purchasing multiple quantities of different cleaning items . Cashier did not know how to ring up a multiple item sale and eventually a manager noticed her ringing up individually and came over to berate and correct her . We never said a word during the transaction and were fine with waiting . My wife asked the manager if they had cases of mops in stock we could buy so they would be ready for shipment. She replied she didn’t know , my wife asked if she could check , she said No and walked away ! We looked at each other in stunned silence , did that really just happen ? Unbelievably poor Example of customer service , leadership , etc . We spent 133.00 in Dollar tree and will be spending quite a bit more , is business that good you can treat customers so rudely ? My poor wife has to lug everything due to my health issues and than gets treated like this ? I’d also suggest a name change...
Read moreLOL. Where do I even begin. This store is an absolute atrocity. It is filthy dirty. The shelves were empty and there were rolling carts 8 feet high. Filled with boxes that needed to be stocked on the shelves. The couple of guys they had working there? Were socializing with the customers who were obviously Homies from the neighborhood. So, instead of working and stocking the shelves? It was the social event of the week. This place was a shambles. The floors were filthy and there was merchandise all over them as well. I think I might’ve been in the store a total of about 2 1/2 minutes before I throw in the towel. If I hear tomorrow? That there are revamping the entire store? And that they’re giving away free merchandise? I’m still never going back...
Read moreI was planning a Surprise Birthday Party for my husband. One day b4 I was frazzled as I stopped in the West Hempstead (#5062), NY Dollar Tree to pick up last minute items..balloons & such. The store manager & staff did absolutely everything to make that stop COMPLETELY WORTHWHILE! The manager even opened another register just to serve me as I raced to get needed items. Everytime I got in line to pay, I remembered something else I needed. So he opened the extra line to serve me & then the other customers weren't affected by my frazzled state. Smart move Sir! I'm eternally grateful for your help. The party was fabulous & beautifully decorated thanks to you. Your loyal customer, A.J....
