I recently dined at La Bottega with my wife and had a truly wonderful experience. This cozy and quaint Italian restaurant in Garden City offers a delightful atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic evening out.
We were impressed by the attentive and friendly service from the moment we walked in. The waitstaff made us feel welcomed and attended to throughout our meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.
The menu at La Bottega features a variety of delicious Italian dishes, but what truly stood out were the Bistecca a Zola and Salmone e Pere that we ordered. The Bistecca a Zola, a perfectly roasted Angus steak with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, Gaeta olives, sautéed onions, gorgonzola, and balsamic dressing, was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The Salmone e Pere, grilled salmon with baby spinach, endive, pears, toasted pecans, red beets, cherry tomatoes, and raspberry dressing, was a delightful mix of fresh ingredients that left us wanting more.
Not only was the food delicious, but it was also reasonably priced, making La Bottega a great value for the quality of dining experience it offers. Being close to home, this restaurant has now become one of our favorites for a special night out.
Overall, La Bottega exceeded our expectations with its wonderful flavors, attentive service, and charming ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Italian dining experience in...
Read moreNot because you're a chain, will it be like the rest! Lesson learned here in Garden South! We've eaten at Roosevelt Field A+ just didnt want to deal with the crowds, Plainview A+ as well but was too far... So we figured Go local! Bad choice. Upon entering was asked if staying, i smiled and said yes... Was told 'go pick a seat in the back' as she diverted her eyes back to her phone. so i did just that- to have the server snap at me and say 'Good morning- want to be seated??' i apologized saying i was told to come to the back. There were flies around our meals to a point where we were fanning them away!, the penne ala vodka tasted like it came outta a jar! Shocked as every other La Botega the sauce is consistent. Bolognese sauce was blah...the shrimp in our linguini Pesto was rubbery... I don't know what happened today... There was no 'Ka-Pow' in our Lunch! This was our end of summer-back to school lunch.... Not too happy... But we tipped well, smiled and left. Next time we'll head out...
Read moreTruly rude. Ordered a basil, tomato and mozzarella panini. They were out of basil, but instead of telling me that, they decided to make me a cheese and tomato sandwich and hope that I didn't notice. When I got home and discovered what they did, I called back, and spoke to the female manager. She was completely unapologetic, and stated that since basil was an "unimportant" ingredient (in a BASIL, tomato and mozzarella panini), it wasn't a big deal that they didn't tell me about it when I ordered. She went on to suggest that I drive back to the store and --pay the difference-- for a new sandwich. We're talking about one or two bucks here. She's literally trying to squeeze ever last penny out of me on top of not apologizing for what was blatantly the store's fault in the...
