Sooo much fun!!! So, I hosted a bowling event for one of my ministries from my church for about 24ppl, but only 18 bowled on August 12th. It was super easy and a pleasure working with Nick. We spoke once and both loved the idea of texting, going forward (gotta love tech)! He was very responsive, like his phone was glued to his hands, most of the time. Lol. Nick was very patient with me, as I tried to narrow down the menu options, so that my guests didnt have to pay to much, and we came up with more than enough food to satisfy everybody. It is easy getting to Woodmere, there's plenty of free street parking after 7pm and a free large municipal parking lot across the street. Once inside, it is well lit, clean, they have new shoes (compared to when I was there in March), hand sanitizer on every counter, colorful balls organized in their own size stations, the women's restroom was bright and clean. I chose the lanes on the far left side, close to another entry, as well. Cute high ball tables and stools that seat 4, but there's plenty of standing room, so that you're not really cramped. Nice, dim glow in the dark atmosphere around the lanes. Nick's team had 4 high ball tables covered for us to stand and eat, and our delicious food was in the center with soda and tea pitchers (on your own for alcoholic bevs). Connie and her food service team were on point in making sure that we had all that we needed and paid for. The guy at the front where you get your shoes and pay (sorry I forgot his name) was so pleasant to work with and on his game! In addition to taking care of others who were there, I was really impressed when he noticed that one of our more seasoned in age bowlers, never knocked down any pins for a few frames, he came to me as suggested guard rails. YES, let's do that. But what got me, and why I say he was on his game is bc, he knew when it was her turn, so he automatically had the rails up and down every single time, without anyone having to remind him. We loved that! We all had a BLAST and I gave out bowling door prizes at the end. THANK YOU Nick and team for a great experience! Attached, but on the other side is a really cool adult lounge, Backstage, for eating, dancing, drinking and well, lounging. I've been here a few times, and have always...
Read moreWent here with a Groupon, which I appreciated. My husband and I went with our 3 children about 10pm on a Friday. It was smaller then I expected (About 18 lanes). It was also outdated, but in fine shape to be overall honest. There was only two things that bothered me, which is the reason for the 3 stars. 1- It is openly connected to a bar-club type of establishment. Meaning as we walked to the bowling lane, we passed what appeared to be a bar-like type of place. When we entered The bowling lane, I realized connected to the "food court" were double doors (1 door open), that was connected to the bar place, where people can walk freely. For me it was a bit disappointing, I've never been to a bowling alley, connected to a bar-club. We try not to take the kids to, places where people drink heavy as in bars, because of behaviors that SOMETIMES comes with drinking. Had we known we wouldn't have bought the Groupon to take the children. 2- The bowling balls felt REALLY greasy. I kept thinking maybe it was just me and the ball I picked, however, my husband then stated he felt his was greasy, the children as well. I will say, the staff were nice, helpful, and professional. It was crowded, but everybody bowled and appeared to be enjoying themselves. Although there were no incidents, we probably wouldn't go back, just for my personal preferences...
Read moreFirst, let me compliment the crew on duty from 4 pm until 7 pm today, Sun, Aug 18th, 2024. Willy, Dylan, Sophia, Nyah (may not have the spelling correct), and there were at least 3 other team members that made our time there a great team building experience. When making a decision for where we could bring our team after a half day of training, Woodmere Lanes had the upper hand because of how much fun we had the last time. The leadership made it a seamless process to reserve the space and provide a la carte snacks and drinks without any minimums or hoops to jump through. It was super affordable, and everyone enjoyed the food and the fun. They also took the time to input our names into the scoreboards and gave us an entire section for ourselves. There were 20 of us, and we were able to get a few games in each for those 2 hours.
Thank you again, "W.Lanes" for providing us with a great venue, food and service. We'll be back!!!
