My son turned 13 on the 21st and asked me to go here. I purchased tickets in advance because he wanted to get on the go karts mind my son is 13 5’7”. There is no indication of height requirement on the site and there is an adult swinging from the ball pit so you think it’s for everyone (all sizes). So we get there there’s nothing but miniature everything. The only thing that my children were able to enjoy was the ball pit and laser tag not only that, but when we got there, the lockers didn’t work and the manager tried to force us to put our shoes in an open locker now my son is 13 57 wears a size 12 shoe. I was not gonna put his shoes in an open cubby for some grown man to take his shoe that he has nothing to wear home . so they offered to put my kids shoes behind the register and they would watch them. Then the go karts were for five year olds not much more age range in that unless you want your knees, touching your face the lady at the front desk tells me that I did not have to purchase an adult ticket. Only if I had small children which it doesn’t say that it makes it seem like you have to pay an adult Ticket. Then the girl tells me to my face at the register. Oh, it’s only half price, but it’s not half price of your money. They did not want to give me my money back for that. I honestly didn’t want to stay there with my kids because their faces were just ruined when they saw everything that was in urban air of Dix hills but since they were so unwilling to give me my money back and trying to force me to do things that I didn’t wanna do I had no choice to stay for where I paid I don’t like to be forced to do anything. This was one of the worst experience you can ever do to a child or a family. We stayed less than an hour and left it wasn’t enjoyable for my children. The manager kept on coming up to us when she saw us leaving. Oh, did you have fun? Did you have fun and my kids are like Yeah and then when we got to the car, they was like Mommy. She just ran up to us we didn’t even get to do anything because nothing was our size in here. Everything was for little kids for $178 plus tax. My kids did not enjoy urban air in Dix Hills. I wound up taking them to RPM and if I’m ever to go to another urban air, it won’t be an advanced ticket. I’ll go check out the park before I do any of that, but I don’t live out there. I figured we go out of our way to Long Island just for my kids to have fun which they didn’t, anyway long story short...
Read moreNever been here before, but heard great things about it to keep kids busy. Decided to book it for my son’s third birthday and was looking forward to experiencing the facility.
Just want to start off by saying the actual place was really fun and kid friendly, however the staff is questionable. Supposedly they have a corporate office who doesn’t communicate changes with the actual location. Secondly, our party host should not be hosting parties. He took most of the two hour time slot running back and forth to get baby socks WHEN I EXPLAINED THAT I HAD MULTIPLE BABIES COMING! Why would you bring one pair of socks at a time. He was not there to welcome my guest or bring them to the table, so a couple times I noticed my guests just wandering around looking for us. He touched our pizza with no gloves. He was trying to limit us to one area of the facility when I explained I took the Highest package and that I received multiple CONFIRMATION emails explaining what I got/wanted EVEN UP UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE. Even my guests were getting annoyed with him, not sure if it was too much for him to handle, but parties are definitely not for him. Co-manager didn’t even have the decency to comp me anything although she literally had to take over our party. She made sure to charge me for all extras which was 1 pie and 2 pitchers of sodas and 2 BABY children at $20 a piece. She could’ve just comped me that and I would’ve been fine but the fact that it was such a horrible experience she didn’t even say I’ll give you 10% off your bill. They also promote all day play starting at the time your party begins, but you will be given a wristband if you are going on a day that it may get busy. Basically the wristband is a time limit, WHICH IS NOT COMMUNICATED WHEN BOOKING OR...
Read moreIve been to lake grove plenty of times. When dix hills opened I was so excited (more than my son I think🤣) but bc it’s so much closer. Anyway we went today for the first time ever to dixhills 5/23/23. I was scared at first cause My son is autistic and has sensory issues so I was scared it was going to be overwhelming or even just the loud music. But nope. The music was actaully at a good volume. No crowds what so ever. Very welcoming with smiles from the whole staff. But anyway I would love to thank Sienna for being SOOOOOO kind to my son. From helping him in the ball pit to letting him join dodge ball. (Sometimes kids on the spectrum don’t get the concept of what to do during a game or in general) but she didn’t turn him away or anything. She let him participate. Also another girl with blonde hair and braids I believe at the time around 5:20ish was at the ball pit too and was so nice to help my son move his way up when he was stuck. even the girl in the virtual reality section was so sweet with him. Jasmine in the foam blocks was a sweetheart playing with him, throwing him in the foam blocks (he loves the adrenaline and impact)🤣 I hope they never get rid of the 4 girls I’m talking about. When we got in the car he told me “mommy I had so much fun but there’s no crash pad”😂 I believe the dix hills park is nice for kids 3-8 compare to lake grove where I guess u can say is more for ages 7-15 since more room, it’s taller for the sky rider and etc. They truly understand kids are kids. Autism may not be a seen disability but the patience and love they gave my child was so heart warming and brings me peace to my heart❤️ the food was also delicious and the place...
