I was excited to visit this store, but I left feeling very disappointed.
As an Arab, I cannot consider this place a true Arab deli or supermarket. It’s a very small space with no air conditioning, very limited product selection, and many of the items I was looking for were not available. The frozen food looked old and possibly expired, it seemed like it hadn’t been touched in a long time.
When I entered, a man was sitting at a table near the entrance, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. It would feel more welcoming if staff greeted customers from behind the counter or register rather than watching people as they browse. It’s a small store no one is going to steal your hummus. And they didn’t even have hummus!
They didn’t have bread, which was surprising. While the signage and some products were in Arabic, the staff member I encountered didn’t speak Arabic. He appeared to be of a different background, which is not an issue, but communication matters especially in a store that presents itself as culturally specific.
The hygiene of the store was also concerning. It felt unclean, and with no air conditioning, even the chocolate on the shelves was melting. I honestly don’t know how anything in the store is safe to eat.
Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. I recommend visiting one of the many other well stocked and clean Arabic stores in...

Living in Northport on Long Island gets you a little homesick at times. You start to think your only food options are bagels, pizza, and the occasional sad falafel wrap from a place that also may sell sushi. Having been here for years, I’d almost given up hope. Egyptian food? Out here? Might as well ask for a camel ride to Costco.
But then—ya Rabena!—I stumbled upon Al PRINCE . It was like the Nile flowed straight into Suffolk County. I walked in and was instantly slapped by nostalgia. I almost cried next to the freezer.
They had everything—feteer, koshary, basbousa that could make you weep, and man the molokhia, everything there is so authentic, it’s the same brands that ur Egyptian Mama uses!
Do I know how this place ended up here? No. Deep in the corner of a parking lot next to barber shop salon and a Desi bridal shop, it seems like, It is very real. You’ll also find Omar giving you advices on how to cook stuff. Ps: thanks for saving me from even buying the wrong type of molokheya! I would’ve actually been devastated if i had bought the wrong one.
Five stars. May Horus bless this...
Read moreIt was sad reading reviews by @Israa, I have been to this store so many times, the staff is really nice and welcoming, and environment is chill and nice, and Im sorry to say, mam/sir’s review to me sounds like they’re triggered because of the staff member who’s non Arab, and she’s openly targeting ethnicity, which in my opinion should be considered as racism, he could be the breadwinner of his family, and she/he should respect the staff, and her/his opinion shouldn’t give discrimination, this stereotypical behavior is the reason why they face racism in society, if you didn’t see an item in a store. And I have visited the store myself, and never had any experience where I experienced an item’s shortage, so you just gave a made up story. GET A...
