The customer service was way better than it was in the past. I have to say though the out of pocket charges at the store were confusing, and overwhelming. I still don't understand how a piece of smudge proof glass and case came to in the end almost 300. I went back the day after I bought my phone the agent agreed,I was overcharged ask me to put my card in only to discover I was charged again. I called to resolve the situation and really got no explanation I can understand. Also I was told I had to get the hum device and tablet to get the discount on my phone. I contacted Verizon and they said basically I was worked A. The tablet nor hum are a part of any promotion. So , my suggestion is unless you are fully aware of what the person behind the counter is doing, and have really good knowledge of what these item really should cost try a different store. And what I meant by customer service is better is that they are definitely more friendly than in the past, just pretty slick when it comes to roping an unknowing person into a lot of crazy stuff. I don't know how to add a new review, so I will add to this one. I received a call from I believe the district manager, he was very helpful and understanding and definitely did not treat me as dumb as I felt. He did explain things with a lot more clarity and understanding. I really appreciate the immediate response from him. Again my review, was, not based on a personal opinion of the agent he was kind, and friendly, and handled my...
Read moreIF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS LOCATION DO NOT ANSWER or do business through them. THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS! This location called a Verizon customer pretending to be the Verizon Fraud department. Customer answered thinking it was a legit call from the Fraud department, they claimed there was "there was someone trying to commit fradulent activity on the account" and they needed to change the password to a SPECIFIC PASSWORD they were giving her. Low and behold they were in fact the ones attempting to commit fraud by accessing her MyVerizon Account online. They did not go through the Verizon system with their credentials to access the account because they knew there would be a time stamp on the account. They bullied the customer into agreeing and accepted the password change thinking it was Verizon Fraud department. Her phone was immidiately suspended and a text was sent stating "Thank you for your purchase of $499.99 charged to the card ####". Then they made an immediate normal bill payment on that same card to mimic Verizon processing normal bill charges. This is illegal activity and an investigation has been opened aganist this location. Verizon Customers please beware. Verizon will NEVER CALL YOU unless you have a SCHEDULED CALL BACK. Verizon will NEVER GIVE YOU A...
Read moreNot sure if these guys are unknowledgeable, incompetent, or just con-artists. I came here with an iPhone that stopped getting cellular service, they told me there was nothing that they, OR Apple could do for me...was told I didn't have a warranty, but I was aware I had insurance. They said if I went through insurance there's a good chance a refurbished phone would end up doing the same thing as before. They talked me into ordering a new Samsung S8. I came in the next day, the phone wasn't there, came in the following day, still wasn't there. Now I had to wait all weekend with hopes it would be delivered on Monday, after already going 3 days without a phone. I was fed up, so I told them I would buy a new phone from the Poughkeepsie Verizon. I went to Poughkeepsie Verizon, and within 2 minutes of being helped, they told me because I had insurance, I had an extended 2-year warranty and that apple would ship me a replacement phone for free overnight to my house...never again will I take my business to Hyde Park Verizon for any issues, unless I want to get scammed into wasting my money for no reason. Hopefully people get second opinions from a more knowledgable and reputable store if they feel as though Hyde Park is doing something shady...
