Rowan Larchmont — Attraction in Town of Mamaroneck

I went here with a friend for some piercings and we had such a lovely experience - the staff was friendly and very nice and knowledgeable. I requested a piercing in a certain spot and the nurse advised me there was a chance of it merging with another hole, so we slightly moved the location based on her recommendation. When I realized a few weeks later that it felt like the holes had merged I called and was advised to come in.

The same nurse who I had previously had a lovely experience with was extremely defensive and short with me and essentially told me I consented to the spot so there was nothing she could do. When I asked for her opinion on next steps, she was increasingly rude and unwilling to explain my options/answer my questions. I understand this is a risk with any piercing, I just wish the customer service was more thoughtful and empathetic as I literally left the piercing studio in tears because of...

I got piercings on my upper lobe and couldn’t be happier! I would recommend Rowan for anyone looking for a memorable, safe, and trustworthy piercing experience. 10/10.

The beautiful studio has a large variety of stylish and sterile jewelry to choose from. This location offers the option to pierce with a needle or a hand-pressurized device. I opted for piercing with the device due to a quicker healing time (4 weeks), even though the flat back jewelry for needle piercings is truly exquisite.

The licensed nurse made me feel right at home and helped ease my nerves. She marked my piercing placement, to make sure I was completely satisfied, prior to piercing - which was surprisingly painless. Afterwards, she provided me with aftercare information and a kit to take home. I also got the advanced aftercare solution and ear pillow (since I am a side sleeper). In April we took my then 5 month old to get her ears pierced. The nurse was amazing! Very patient and clear with post care instructions. The appointment was also very easy to make/change when needed. However, the earrings used to pierce were faulty and kept coming out of her ears, until eventually we lost one a few weeks later. I went back to Rowan and purchased another set of earrings which costs $70. We decided to try a different backing this time around and were still having the same issues. My daughter does not play with her ears ever, so I know she isn’t forcibly taking them off. The earrings are faulty and are very pricey to continue to repurchase and continue to have the same issue. We have been lucky enough to find the earring every time it comes off but are also concerned if one day we aren’t as lucky as she finds it before we do. I would love if someone would contact me...
