Minocqua Popcorn and Puffs — Local services in Town of Minoqua

So the popcorn is outstanding. My wife, daughter, and I went to Minocqua for spring break. We went in early in the week, and we got a gallon bucket because we knew we were going to get refills. Went back mid week and the same guy that sold us the bucket said they had to put it in a bag and not in the bucket because of COVID. No worries. He thanked us for bringing the bucket back. Go back a third time, like I said, the popcorn is outstanding, my wife went in, but we had forgotten the bucket. Same guy that sold us the bucket was working. He was the only one working, so he was also the same guy that gave us the refill. He recognized my wife and said this was the third time we had been in that week. My wife asked if we could have the refill price. He said we had to have to bucket. This was after acknowledging that this was the third time we had been in. I get it. You want the bucket because you don’t want some random person claiming they have a bucket and giving them the discount. However, the guy recognized my wife! He knew he sold her/us a bucket, and still wouldn’t give the discount. She was the only one in the store too, so it’s not like he was busy. I am sorry, outstanding popcorn or not, that’s ridiculous. If he didn’t recognize us/her, I would get it, but he knew us AND knew he sold us a bucket! I am sorry, sometimes a policy...

I tell everyone I know who is going to or through Minoqua to stop because of how awesome the popcorn WAS. My son went up over Father's day weekend and I had him refill my container. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! It USED to be the best popcorn I'd ever had. Cheese flavored. I tore into it when he gave it to me and I can't stress how upset I was when it was orange colored oily popcorn! Absolutely no taste! My fingers were oily and didn't turn orange like real cheese popcorn. It didn't even tase remotely like cheese!!! I know how it used to taste and that was NOTHING like it used to be! Stop selling inferior product to save a buck! You might be saving a few pennies, but in the long run, you're losing repeat customers. My son's was the same way. We both threw it away. What a waste of money. I'm so embarrassed that I told him how good it was only to put that trash in my mouth expecting Deliciosness! Unless it's changes back to the way it was, I'll never recommend you again! Minocqua Popcorn and Puffs is a Northwoods treasure! Every time we visit Minocqua, this is one of our must stop spots. The popcorn is out of this world delicious. From the perfectly puffed cheese popcorn, which is seriously addictive, to the unique flavor combos that are always fun to sample. We’re especially obsessed with the mushroom popcorn kernels to take home. They pop up big and fluffy every time!
