⚠️ It is very difficult to reach the summit ⚠️ The trail begins as an easy crushed stone surface with a few boardwalks added in. Soon, it turns to rocks and tree roots. As you go higher, it eventually turns to a steep rock scramble on hands & knees at times. We turned around before the summit because we didn't want to slip or fall down a mountain on the first day of vacation! We followed the blue trail markers, and we stayed on the trail, but there were no ropes nor railings to assist in the climb.

Cobble Hill Trail started as a nice leisurely walk through a wooded area. Then it turned more challenging when we had to hike over and around rocks and muddy areas (note, it had not rained before we were there). When almost at the top, we approached a 60-degree rock wall with nothing but a small rope for guidance. Since we did not want to risk injury, we turned around at that point.

Great way to spend the morning. 1.5 mile total out and back. 470 ft gain in elevation. Easy but a little steep at the end. Rock steps take you to the summit. Some nice views at summit. Need about an hour to complete. Combine that with a lap around mirror lake for the win!
