my God the ENTITLEMENT represented in these reviews! Did you try actually TALKING to somebody? Not everybody likes to be bothered while they're browsing, especially me... when I need something, I ask. It's simple, and I personally appreciate when sales people give me space to look for what I need, at the same time I don't mind somebody asking if I need help finding something when I'm there for something specific. Regarding security tags, EVERY Walmart DEFINITELY has security tags, and thus security tag removal tools at every check out... even if they don't need to use them in your store, you just wanted a reason to complain... what are you expecting them to do? drive to your house to remove a security tag? Lastly, no the nearest store ISN'T in Albany anymore, and the website is down because they went bankrupt... I didn't think there were ANY stores left, and then Wednesday I was in Burlington Vermont for work and mistakenly drove into the plaza where the store is and saw that it was pretty busy. if I wasn't so tired and still having a 3-hour drive home, I would have stopped in to see if they had the pants I get for work before I left. hope you guys come back to Albany eventually. I bought my very first tent with my own money from my first job, back in the 90s when the store was in Crossgates Mall. I love to go in and do a lap of the store looking for new products. I think my favorite store was the one that was in southern Vermont, it was in an old factory or something that had been turned into a...

After finally making it inside, we were disappointed. This is not an outdoor shop, but rather a shop that sells outdoor gear. Very impersonal, no eye contact, and zero help. Most local outdoor shops are happy to offer recommendations on hikes, things to do, this place felt like a department store.
They had one water bladder left, and when I asked if they had any more in the back, he said that they most likely do but would involve scanning them into the store then stocking the shelves, and asked that we come back in a few hours.
We expressed that this was our last day in town, and gave us this look like "oh well."
What ever happened to customer service? There were no other customers in the area and it was just as they opened. It would have taken minutes to make the accommodation, but I guess that's asking too much these days. We left feeling disappointed. And they could probably care less because they'll always have someone walking...
Read moreTried to help Johnathan Funke with his request of Salomon Falcon trail runners told him I was a Salomon fanboy for 17 years and have never heard of that trailrunner, he went to pull up a picture could find it and seemed to have left. Probably a little upset since he wasn't the center of all attention do to him jumping into the middle of the 4 sets of customers I was fitting whom all showed before his Majesty. But hey Johnathan Funke I did get a chance to look for your request and found a Salomon Falcon as a vintage ski boot is that what you're looking for???? Additionally when you walked into the middle of a dozen customer conversation and just said "Falcon" my response was a little levity sorry it missed the mark. Keep writing those truthful reviews and have...
