So I decided to come to the spa for a day of relaxation as Iâve heard they have a spa sanctuary.
I parked in a guest parking spot but apparently spa guests donât count as guests so I had to find parking elsewhere.. I found this strange as they kept referring to âguestsâ as âin-house guestsâ but arenât I a form of a guest as well ? Anyway I didnât mind moving my car.
As I was checking into the âsanctuaryâ, the reception described a salt room that sounded amazing.. I mean a room filled with salt particles pressed against your skin sounds hypnotic.. why not ⌠let me begin to tell you that my lunch perhaps had more salt then what was claimed to be circulating in the room. It felt very similar to the waiting room. I sincerely thought something was wrong, this could not be the almost 100$ treatment I had agreed to .. but no.. thatâs just the room and thatâs just how it is. I even pressed my face and hand against the air valve and could swear that nothing but air was being blown out.. the treatment was supposed to be 45min but I left after 20min as it seemed a bit silly to stay. So I decided to use the âsanctuaryâ area.. well ok, they call it a sanctuary but in reality itâs a changing room with a basic steam and hot tub.. oh yea they have razor blades as well in case youâd like to shave.. I asked if I could use the gym and they said yes but the pool is again, for âguestsâ only.. the gym was meh, I stayed for 5min and thought forget it.. thereâs no way I can turn this experience around for the positive.. letâs just say this was the most expensive waiting room I ever experienced and I would absolutely not come back here unless and only if I had booked a massage.. in all fairness the staff were friendly but what can they do when your getting...
Read moreI had the Mirror Lake spa package (massage, facial, and pedicure). Each of my providers 2qs incredible. The massage was fantastic and she (Maria?) was thorough, I felt so relaxed leaving that service for my pedicure. I had about an hour in between services and it was PERFECT because I got to use the facilities, including the spa and steam room. The women's area was well kept and clean and during my stay it was checked on and replenished multiple times. The spa area (steam room and hot tub) appears to be bathing suit optional as there is a men's room and women's room and they are separate. There was lemon water and tea in the lounge area. After relaxing for a bit I went for my pedicure where Tess was wonderful! She really was attentive to detail and my toes looked perfect! She offered water and tea multiple times and I really felt spoiled. My esthetician (I can't believe I forgot to catch her name and tossed my paper) and facial was by far my favorite service - and that's saying a lot because it was all wonderful. She was so gentle with my hormonal acne and had great explanations for why my skin was behaving the way it was giving me great tips for keeping it happy and healthy. She did a great job and I will definitely be finding out her name so I can return for another facial with her. Book yourself a spa day here, you will...
Read moreI will preface by saying the inn itself was lovely. The spa was nice enough despite the moldy laundry basket (pictured), but I had a prenatal massage that was so bad it left me in tears. I have never paid so much money to have lotion softly rubbed on me. There was zero pressure despite me asking for more multiple times. Before the session even started, the therapist said he wouldnât meet my sole request to rub my feet due to there being âa lot of energy in the feetâ. I told them I get weekly foot massages and my doctor had said itâs perfectly safe. It takes about a 2 second google search to determine that foot massage being off limits during pregnancy is wildly inaccurate info. Still, I would have been fine if the rest of the massage was...
