We stayed in Suite 9 on 7/18-7/20 following an intense search for a last minute weekend get-away. We have been to Lake Placid numerous times in the winter however never got to enjoy its beauty during the summer months. It was a fantastic stay. My wife and I brought our 15 month to The Haus and were extremely excited for this stay. From the moment I booked the reservation we were greeted with an extremely friendly voice on the other side of the line. She answered any and all questions. During COVID 19, I would have to imagine it's harder to provide A+ customer service with the fact that many establishments are using a hands off approach. However The Haus provided that A+ approach regardless. They were completely transparent and set extremely detailed expectations. They sanitized the rooms and left notes to make it easy to best enjoy our stay without having to jump through hoops to check in. The room itself? Fantastic!! I would say that the rates for this suite is comparable to a decent rated hotel room however your getting 3-4X the space. We have a toddler that struggles with hotel rooms due to a lack of space. It's also harder for her to nap when sharing one room. This suite gave us all the room we would ever need. Our daughter also napped fantastic as she had her own quiet space away from us to rest. She also had all the room in the world to run around and explore making it that much more enjoyable for her mom and dad. Location?? Walk outside and your about 20 yards to the lake. It was about a 5 minute walk to the public beach as well. Super easy. I parked upon arrival and didn't need my vehicle until it was time to checkout. I was very happy with this stay. We had a minor self inflicted issue where we locked the key in the room. We caused this but needed customer assistance during non-business hours. They answered our call immediately with the assistance needed to get our vacation moving forward again! We will be using The Haus again for future vacations, no...
Read moreIn my search for an experience that would suit my many, COVID-enhanced needs, I found The Haus. Remodeled from apartment residences, The Haus met them all:||- fully equipped kitchen, with cookware, utensils, dishes, a dishwasher, microwave, range, and full sized refrigerator (bonus for dish soap and coffee filters, kitchen towels and paper towels)||- WiFi capability so I could work (TVs, both living room and bedroom, have spare USB ports, but we didn’t bring our casting device, basic cable worked fine for what little time we watched)||- jetted tub (bonus for great water pressure and extra paper products and towels to decrease the need for contact)||- a bedroom with enough space beside the bed for my husband to sleep on the floor (bonus for having a spare set of linens already for the pull out couch)||- outdoor space with a nice view||||That said, I couldn’t believe how responsive Yuliia was to our specific needs: late check in, questions about what is available based on restrictions (sadly, no in room massage, but pleasantly, fresh flowers) and how to be responsible about our stay. Looking out at Mirror Lake from the balcony motivated us to consider the environment to preserve our surroundings. We chose not to use housekeeping during our stay, but it was close at hand if needed. The location was ideal- we took a drive down by some of Lake Placid’s resorts, but they weren’t as close to the water as we were to Mirror Lake. All the local businesses were open or doing take out, and there was plenty of sanitizer in all public spaces. ||||I could have self isolated there if it was called for, and I’d be just as pleased with my stay. Sitting on the balcony looking at the view was so relaxing. We...
Read moreWe were in the area for the first time in the summer and fell in love. Coming back in the fall was even more beautiful! This time we chose the Haus for our stay. As we are being cautious due to covid still being around and us having unvaccinated children, a place with a kitchen was needed. The Haus has a full size kitchen and fit our needs perfectly. The arrival was contactless, so we picked up our pizza dinner at Ere's (literally next door) and brought everything to the room. There is a loading zone very close and a parking lot nearby. The pullout bed was already made for us and worked perfectly for our kids while we enjoyed the privacy of our own room. ||||The room was clean and had normal wear and tear that could use some care, but there were plenty of towels and paper products for our three night stay. ||||The only down side was the noise from the neighboring park. Perhaps because it was a holiday weekend, there were some rowdy sounding people at various times in the night, but that's to be expected while staying on a main street. ||||There is a brewery directly across the street. We dashed in to obtain previsions of beer and were good for the evening. ||||Our room said lake view... and it is literally a view of the lake from an angle out the window. We were ok with this as we had a lot of fun people watching instead. ||||Thanks for a fun vacation! Looking forward to...
