I had a great overall experience and highly recommend! Review: I went to Cryo Energy at the Upper East location for Fraxel and had an excellent overall experience. I have had IPL but had not ever had Fraxel, which is a more intense laser than the IPL, so I was a bit nervous. I had a tiny bit of trouble finding the buzzer, the location is in a dental office in the basement so I called the technician, Rahim, and he helped me immediately. Rahim was very personable and calming and immediately took time to to talk to me once he directed me to the to the room (there were two, one for prep, one for the procedure with the machine). He definitely helped to calm my nerves. The first step was that he applied the cooling/numbing creme, which needed to stay for 20 minutes before the procedure. My only note here: remember to get the wifi password at the beginning in case you need it:) When Rahim returned after finishing with his other client, I was directed to the room with the technical equipment. I received cover for my eyes and then he started with the Lazer. It feels like little hot shocks is the best way I can describe it. He did 8 passes on the cheeks and then did the rest of my face - forhead, chin, upper lip, then under eye and nose. Rahim told me that he normally does a swipe then waits a minute and cools in between, but that he was going a little more rapidly for me (which I appreciated because I just wanted it done!). Also, he used the medium setting because it was my first time - which I also appreciated because I would rather see how my skin reacts and go back than over do it with a strong lazer. Next time I will try the stronger lazer with the breaks in between - gonna need 'em because it is INTENSE. Afterwards, my skin felt hot and looked red like a sunburn, but was tolerable. I am writing this the next day and the tingling has subsided, but I am definitely still red like a sunburn, although, not so much on my forehead. I am looking forward to the results. Do know that there is downtime after this procedure and you shouldn't be in the sun for at least 5-7 days. The pricing he gave me for the next time was also very reasonable for what it is and I will definitely be back! I had a great overall experience and...
Read moreIn the summer of 2023 Nisha texted me to come in to have Fraxel in the summer.. I asked her multiple times if it was ok in the summer and that I’ve heard that you should never do it in the summer because you need to stay out of the sun for months. She told me it was fine even though I told her I was going to Europe in a week. She told me just to stay out of the sun for 7 days. I asked her so many times - “7 days? Are you sure 7 days?”:. I had ONE small spot of melasma. After this I have it across my entire face! All across my cheeks and it won’t lift. Nisha ruined my skin, she ruined my life. I am depressed now. My skin was beautiful. My skin was perfect except for one spot.. I never should have listened to her as you are 100% not supposed to do Fraxel in the summer and she never should have encouraged me to do so and tell me it was fine to go in the sun after a week!!!! She did it for the money and I was stupid enough to listen to her when everyone told me not to do it in the summer! She even texted me the following year asking if I wanted to come in and do it. She just wants money. I should sue her and this company. She lied and damaged my...
Read moreI purchased a Groupon for a platinum hydra facial and scheduled my appointment. The only positive experience was the short wait time, which is why this review even gets one star. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. It’s been over four or five days, and there’s no visible difference in my skin. Even during the facial, I felt no improvement—everything seemed very basic, with no real effort being made.
The only notable part was feeling the extraction process, followed by the red light therapy, which was supposed to last for 20 minutes during a 60-minute facial according to my therapist. However, during the supposed “quiet” therapy, someone entered the room unannounced, knocked over the light machine, and quickly apologized. This person wasn’t even my therapist, which made me feel uneasy, especially with my belongings in the room.
To make matters worse, my therapist returned and restarted the machine for another 20 minutes, meaning I ended up with two rounds of the same light therapy without any visible results. Overall, the facial was a complete waste of time and money. I won’t be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend this...
