The pictures can actually speak for themselves BUT I had to write this review just to make sure that, Rosa, the hair magician, got full props for this much need hair makeover. I promise that I will never touch my own hair again. Rosa will be stuck with me for a looooong time. Don't let the no frills look of the salon deceive you because inside it is full of talent and a friendly group of amazing hairdressers! Thank You!

Agatha cuts and blows out my hair to perfection. Rosa is an incredible stylist with a blow dryer after a very attentive hair washing by the beautiful (inside and out) and professional, Vincia. Lemon Tree in New Hyde Park is tops in all around care for your hair female or male (my sons have gone here toošŸ˜‰)

The staff is very stressed and they argue with their family by phone, in front of the costumers.

I never saw this kind of behavior in a hair salon!

I asked to make some highlights, to cut and blow out. I'm Latin woman, I have natural and beautiful curly medium hair. I washed my hair before to go.

The highlights were not I was expecting, but it happens... I just didn' t see difference, because my natural hair color is dark brown, but I“m easy going person and I understand that the color can look darker in doors. The hair stylist doesn't know how to blow out well or she hasn't good will to work.

I didn't complain, I wasn't rude. I just didn't like her job.

She was lazy and didn't dry the roots hair, then it looks ugly: my hair was completely curly in the roots and slick on the endings! I can do better than her! I blow out my hair at my home less than 8 minutes only with the dryer!

When I was paying, another stupid hair stylist just realized I wasn't so happy with the job. And she said, very sarcastic and rude way: "Your hair is sooooooooooo curly". She meant curly hair is something disgusting!

I know my hair is curly, but my hair is easy to dry and blow out. I answered: " I love my hair like my hair is... It is natural curly hair".

I left without to say" bye", because she was being RACIST and tried to blame my curly hair for their incompetence to blow out well. If this people don't want to deal with curly hair, just let us -- the curly hair costumers-- know about this before.

They don't work well , they do everything without good will and also they are rude people. I didn't like this treatment, because I didn't complain, I didn't use bad words, I wasn't aggressive and I wasn't impolite. I just didn't like the job, but I payed. I wasn't smiling. I was just quiet.

Another Indian woman also cut and blowed out, and she didn't like the job, because she wanted slicker... And her hair was curly like the mine... I came back home and I finished the blow out in just 3 minutes without flat iron, only with the dryer!

IF YOUR EMPLOYESS DON'T LIKE TO CUT OR BLOW OUT CURLY HAIR, JUST GIVE A GOOD TRAINING AND MATERIAL FOR THEM!

Today was my first time there and never more I will come back. I prefer to travel to NJ and cut my hair with the Brazilian Hair Stylists from Newark.

They cut well and make wonderful blow out, besides they are VERY POLITE and professional people. They cut African, Chinese or blond hair with the same ability. I just went to Lemon Tree because I hadn’t time to go to NJ.

Stay away from this place of rude and unhappy hair stylists!

I don't want gifts, coupons or free hair cut! Never I will come back to Lemon Tree. Please, just give good training and let your staff know how to give good treatment for the all the costumers.

It is the first bad review that I made in my life. I respect all the professionals, but I don't like...

My cousin recommended them, as my hairdresser raised her price way too much. So my cousin usually goes as a walk-in and never waits more than 10 minutes. I went on a Saturday, they were busy so I asked how about Sunday so she gave me 11 am. I got there 10 minutes early and could feel the heat coming out of the salon...very hot day today. So I waited outside, went in at 11:03 and this old woman with tattoos says you can get washed now...well 3 others had just finished their customers and I was wondering why I was getting her. So I get washed by this sweet young girl who, unlike others I've had in other places, never got any water in my ears and was very gentle so I said how bad could the old lady be...I had a very bad vibe from her, though. Well...I waited another 15 minutes for her finish the other customer while the others were just waiting for customers...she really took her time with this lady. I told her to cut the layers...I have very curly hair and showed her how much to cut...about 10 minutes later, she says you're done! I looked at her and said it's too bushy , she didn't seem to understand me. I know my hair. I said I needed more cut so she got annoyed and said it will shrink up too much...well, 2 minutes later she ripped the cape from my neck and said you're done! Walked away...I was in tears. I've never had my hair so short! Another woman tried to straighten it out but it was too far gone. Ruined for my birthday! I don't want to leave my house for at least 2 weeks! I'm sooo upset! ...

I usually come to lemon tree for a wash and cut. I had to switch hair dressers because my previous one (who was extremely kind and helpful) left. The new lady, her name is Dawn, was extremely rude with me. She kept making comments about my hair and how I should have trimmed my hair months ago. She kept asking why I didn’t come… which is none of her business. She kept making snarky comments and insinuating that I was being lazy. It’s none of her business what I do with my time. Some people are busy, the last thing on my mind would be a haircut. Weirdo. On top of that, she went on a whole rant about how the local high school (that I go to) is so different because it used to be filled with white people, but now it’s filled with ā€œIndians and Asiansā€ (her words, not mine.) Funny because India is literally in Asia so idk what point she was trying to make, LOL! I’m not even Indian but she assumed I was. She was being extremely racist but I just ignored it. Mind you, this was all being said to a minor. Lastly, she was just being so rough with my hair. Don’t come here if you want a haircut, you’ll just...
