PetSmart — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

I got my dog recently groomed. The service included a deluxe full haircut and bath. Basically, everything included in the service which I chose as mentioned by the worker. after the grooming, I picked up dog and went home without even specifically checking if everything is done properly. because i had the best experiences in the past and was expecting the same. But When I went home and checked, his ears were not cleaned. It had all the wax as it was when I left him at the store. his 2-3 nails were not trimmed and all the rest were very very sharp. I saw that my dog’s buttocks were also not cleaned properly and had poop stuck there. then i also lookup at the teeth and they also seemed unclean. Everytime I pickup my dog after bath , he smells so fresh and I can smell the shampoo and all the stuff they use but this time I was in doubt if they really gave him a bath as I could not smell any fragrance from him. I understand that there are some shampoo who don’t have fragrances in it for dogs to keep them away from allergies but still you can sense if your dog is clean or not. I always recommended petsmart for grooming as everytime I took a service for my dog in the past, they did a nice job but this time I did not have the best experience. The last appointment was the same, deluxe full hair cut and bath and costed me around $104. this time when the groomer asked me do you need the same services as before , i said yes and ultimately expecting that it would cost me the same as before. but this time i dont know why they charged me $ 140. when the services are same at both the times , how there is a huge difference in the charges deducted. But for everything i paid , i could only see my dog with a full hair cut but nothing else i am very dissapointed with Groomer “Emma L” and i think it is very important to share the feeling that i had with my experience with petsmart so that the services can be improved for...

So I usually go here to get my dog a pawdicure plus at the grooming station. The first times that I’ve gone it was alright and the staff was nice and did treat my dog nicely. However, the last couple of times that I’ve gone they have not fully done the pawdicure plus. The pawdicure plus consists of many things and one being to take out some of the ear hair - which I barely saw them do, or brush the teeth. Last time I went I was really amazed at the service. They were short on staff so I tried to understand but the staff that was there was showing some attitude and not treating the dogs very nicely. They would yell at the dog they were grooming and calling them lazy. And when they took my dog I asked for the pawdicure plus and only got 2 things done and she rushed it! When I asked about the trimming of the paw hair she said that I had to wait for a groomer to do it. When I got home I realized she had broken one of my dogs nails!! I found the actual nail that fell off and if it isn’t obvious- I’m not going back. I pay $26 dollars for full service not less than half of the service. They need to learn how to be a bit more patient and nice towards dogs especially if they work with them every single day. I wouldn’t recommend this petsmart grooming station. Not all the staff is unfriendly but somehow I always get the same people every time I go. I would look for another store or buy the nail grinder machine and do it yourself. This was a horrible mistake to bring my puppy here. I had scheduled an appointment for my dog on Apr 6 at 8am they call me about 7ish that they have to reschedule me because the groomer called out. They booke me for the following day at 1. I get there and the person speaking to me was very unfriendly. I already had a negative vibe from this but I needed my dogs hair trimmed because his hair was in his face. The dark skin lady from the moment we got there to the moment I had to pick up my dog was very unpleasant. She told me that it would take about 3 hrs or more to groom my dog. I had made a trip from the city and back and my puppy still wasn't ready. Anyhow I go home to wait and she calls me about 430ish to tell me that my dog is ready. I told her I would be there in 30mins and she has the audacity to tell me we close at 5...o well now you wait until I get there. So despite the waiting time the inconvenience and all that to make matters worse they cut the hair on my puppy all uneven!! I asked for a trim and they chopped his hair off and i don't even believe he was bathed. An absolute horror and the price was ridiculous.
