Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Today's visit to the cafe was incredibly disappointing. Initially, I was informed that my total would be $14.76, but upon checking my receipt, I discovered I had been charged $15.76 instead. This discrepancy left me feeling frustrated and misled. Adding to my dissatisfaction, I ordered my burger well-done, yet when it arrived, it was only cooked properly on one side, leaving the other side raw. Despite waiting for over 30 minutes for my meal, I was then forced to return it. While they did provide me with a replacement, it took an additional 17 minutes, only to receive a burger that was overly salty. When I complained, the manager says, "next time order ahead of time." Is he ok?! Keep in mind, they weren't busy at the time! By this point, my lunch break had elapsed, and I had to reluctantly return to work. Lastly, I am now sick after consuming the burger. The pancakes here are 100% better than IHOP-You have to try them!! Under this new management, the service has reached new heights. Migeni and her staff (Issac, Chef Q) go above and beyond to make sure that every customer is satisfied. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and is happy to provide recommendations or alternatives. There are always new daily specials that are delicious and well thought of. Terrific for a coffee shop in an office building! I had a very tasty mushroom cheese burger. The fries were meh. I suggest they copy Wendy's fries (skin on, less oil) I took home a side of potato salad that was home-made and shockingly good! Outstanding service. The staff is efficient, polite and attentive.
