What a shocking disappointment!!! By far this use to be my favorite chinese food take out location. I would tell everyone about this place, never mentioning the name, only location, everyone knew where I was talking about...LOL. The best egg rolls you ever tasted, nice crispy and flavorfull. Today, I actually know the name and for the wrong reason, Win Hou. Yes, Win Hou is the name of the restaurant. The italian restaurant next door is gone. A bank is on the corner, Smashburger and a pet store is next door. No pun intended, Win Hou, is the last man standing. Win Hou, was one of the originals. As far as I'm concerned, after eating there food, their already gone, it just doesn't taste the same. this was a sad day. Due to a move and change in a life style of eating, it's been over 4yrs since I've been here. The woman behind the counter remembered me and my brother, this was after he said something to her, her face actually lit up. She's still not smiling or showing any emotion when dealing with customers. I realize now, she may be shy. Or, it may be a cultural thing. But, 100% when she smiled and engaged my brother in conversation, it made a difference in our experience with this restaurant. Before her demeanor was adding to how I was negatively looking at the restaurant. The inside hasn't changed. The menu signs hanging over head have changed. But, it's not any better. The place still has seating for a handful of people. It's in desperate need of a renovation, floors, wall, menu sign etc., this place could look more inviting. The full staff cooking in the back are gone. Today, it's one lone person. The food tastes and looks different. If you ate or were a regular, you would notice. The food quality has gone down hill. Even something as simply as their chicken wings, no taste and if you personally know a little something about chicken, then you can actually see the quality of chicken being used,...
Read moreReview is on the food quality more than the service. Sure the lady is indifferent, no smile greeting or thank you, but I didn’t expect much from them. I had to get my contractors lunch and out of convienience I went here and got lunch specials of beef teriyaki and chicken with garlic sauce. The beef teriyaki had 4 slices of beef, and the entire plate was just rice and vegetables, huge waste for 8 dollars. The chicken and broccoli was the same, my contractors were still hungry. The food tasted bland, which I’m not surprised as there was one guy cooking it and looked like he didn’t care. I hope I never have to go...
Read moreI've tried almost everything on their lunch special and they're all pretty decent. It's divey so you know exactly what you're getting but not in a bad way. The lunch deal is great: about $9 for a meal over rice (or noodle dish) with either soda, soup, or egg roll. None of the food has a ton of actual substance (the wonton soup has two wontons, the meat dishes have much more rice than meat, etc.). Like that brown rice is not an added charge. Overall for the price, convenience, and speed, it's a great lunch option if you're...
