This Starbucks location is pretty good, and drinks are made quickly.
Tonight I placed a mobile order as I usually do, and I ordered a shaken espresso with cold foam. My drink could not have been sitting in the counter for more than two minutes when I got inside. I see that the “cold foam” isn’t anything more than a couple of bubbles, which is a clear indicator it’s incorrect. It’s a $6 drink so I politely ask the barista if my drink could be fixed or remade, because the cold foam, the thing that costs extra to add to a drink, looks nonexistent. (I was not rude, I didn’t tell her to her face that the foam was nonexistent, I simply said it was flat, and that’s not how it usually looks.)
She immediately seems annoyed that I bring issue with the drink, insisting on going back and forth with me, with a passive aggressive, valley girl style tone, and condescension in the way she’s speaking to me. She starts out saying “it’s right there” referring to the foam (meanwhile, it’s not. There’s a couple of bubbles). She says she could add it, I agree and say “yes, because I just ordered it” and while smiling and laughing says “yeah, and I just made it!” and harshly dumps out the entire contents of the cup in the sink in front of me from a height.
Just extremely passive aggressive and irritated that I dare point out that the drink doesn’t look right and I want it fixed. I paid for something that’s clearly not there, so please, do not try to act like it’s right in my face when the thing I paid for is barely visible or existent.
I’ve never had an interaction with a barista be anything other than pleasant. The attitude was definitely misdirected, and I did not appreciate the patronizing laughing and smiling to guise her palpable...
Read moreI love Starbucks products and visit one everywhere I go. I usually go to Starbucks when I go to see my doctor at New High Park. So, I went there today around 11 a.m. and bought a coffee and a sandwich. First, I waited about 20 minutes to get my coffee and I saw everyone else receiving their order and my sandwich did not arrive to me. Second, I received my coffee and asked for a sandwich I ordered and it comes with a human hair on it. It was nasty to see the hair attached to the cheese on the sandwich. I went back discreetly to return it. The manager gave me a refund. She was nice, but even though I did not make it public, clients noticed that something was wrong because of the manager's facial expression. As a loyal customer, I believe the solution is to be more hygienic and make the employee cover their hair while working. I saw an employee scratching his head and making coffee for a customer without washing his hand, very unacceptable. Since Starbucks made 32 billion in revenue in 2022, I consider that they have enough money to create a very clean environment at every location and hire people who follow up with...
Read moreI ordered two drinks: a chia tea with two pumps of vanilla and oat milk and a passion fruit ice tea Lemonade. I received a chia latte with almond milk and a passion fruit ice tea. I immediately realized the chai was a latte and not a regular tea. I explain to the barista I ordered the tea and not a latte. She was apologetic, made the tea as I ordered. She told me I could keep the chai latte. Since I didn’t need two cups of beverages, I give my friend the chai latte. I thought the chai latte had the oat milk in it as I ordered, however it had almond milk. My friend is highly allergic to all nuts. He almost died from a anaphylactic shock!! The person who took my orders wasn’t paying attention and almost kill my friend, she took the order for almond milk instead of oat milk. This is the 2nd time this person messed up my orders. The first time I caught it right away but the second was almost detrimental. Food allergies is serious and can cause someone life, the staff needs to be more careful. I called and left a message for the manager to call me back. maybe she can use this incident as an opportunity for...
