Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

Great establishment, great staff, great food!!! I live about 10 minutes from the Wappingers location and make the trip up Route 9 to Poughkeepsie instead. The staff are much more friendly and helpful at this location. I recently visited Poughkeepsie this past weekend on Saturday and my family had a blast. Even though they were extremely busy any issues we had with our lane malfunctioning were fixed promptly. The kids had so much fun in the arcade winning prizes (side note they have cool face masks which my kids loved! Great idea given everything going on with the pandemic). The food was amazing, the pizza was so good you wouldn’t believe that it’s from a bowling alley, usually my son never finishes all his food, but he ate every bite of his cheese burger. I opted for the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious, I don’t know what the “signature sauce” is, but the other location does not use the same sauce. I’m pretty sure they just put a disgusting amount of mayonnaise. In Poughkeepsie the sauce has so much flavor, next time I will see if I can get an extra side for dipping my fries.lol Also when I initially ordered the waiter informed me it may be a slight wait because only one person cooks all the food for the entire bowling alley, it’s pretty impressive considering how busy the place was. Plus, for 8 food items it only took roughly 15-20 minutes before it was delivered to our lane. So if you want to have a great time and great food with friends or family definitely choose the Poughkeepsie location. Thanks Spins...

My children visited Spins Bowls in the Poughkeepsie location on Thursday Aug 8th 2024 with my sister and mother and experienced the worst service and customer care ever. The children were there to have some fun and food, but unfortunately they couldn’t do either. My sister order food for my 2 children, one of them being my daughter who has a severe allergy and was very explicit about it. When the food arrived it was all wrong and when my sister asked for my daughters food to be remade because it was covered with onions (she is highly allergic to it), they refused because they were already in the process of cleaning the grills (45 minutes early). My sister asked to speak to the manager and while they did refund her the money for the food (not that it solved the issue because she was left with hungry children) the bowling time was still running and they refused to pause it or reimburse her for at least half of the time since she kept waiting for the manager and the staff kept making different excuses to not remake my daughters food, that again HAS A SEVERE ALLERGY!!! The kitchen claimed it had no onions, so my sister opened up the burger and physically showed it to the person working there! They still refused to do anything about it.

I hardly write reviews but I definitely have to go out of my way to review Spins Bowl on Taft Ave. We decided to have our daughter's 12th birthday party here today. I was worried we would not get the 2 lanes we needed for our party, as the party room was fully booked but when I called prior during the week, I was kindly told to arrive a certain time and I would most definitely get 2 lanes and sure enough we were able to get 2 lanes. We had our lanes for 2 hours and the kids and the adults had a great time!! My 2 sisters joined us from Middletown and were very impressed with the place, the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and there was so much to do for everyone! We arrived at 1pm and stayed until 6pm! And it was a fun filled day for the kids and adults. The food is very good and everyone was very impressed how good the food was. We got 2 large pizza pies, hot dogs, 2 orders of wings, mozzarella sticks and unlimited refills on the pitchers! The garlic chicken wings were soooooo good!!! I'm still full! We are already planning just a regular family night, with no birthday party in 2 weeks to come back and have more fun! The kids LOVED Laser tag also! I can't say enough great things about this place, even the bathrooms were clean!! I'm just so impressed and we most definitely will be back very soon!
