Extremely inconsistent service, don’t come here if you want to make sure you get the same thing every time, even if you add a request they won’t always honor it and when you try to call them out on it, they say you didn’t make any request and will blame it on you.

Ordered from here for lunch break several times, well over 10 times and the first time I ordered the crunchy spicy salmon and tuna rolls, I did not see avocado in the rolls. So I requested avocado be added the next time I ordered. When I got would call to order and made the request, the owner stated “it already comes with it”, so why did the roll not have it the first time? Fine. When I ordered it without the request, again the rolls show up without avocado. I make the request again THIS TIME on DoorDash, when I pick it up, the owner’s husband tells me I don’t need to make that request, the crunchy spicy rolls come with avocado already. Okay, again not being consistent, but fine I will make the request regardless. Ordered it again today and I checked my order to make sure the comment about avocado is there, I check it every single time I place the order, since it auto-populates after clicking reorder, I have to make sure so I can get the food I paid for.

AGAIN, for maybe the 3rd or 4th time I have received rolls without the avocado DESPITE being told by both owners that the rolls AUTOMATICALLY COME WITH THEM SO MY REQUEST SHOULD BE HONORED REGARDLESS.

They have the best lunch deal price-wise but judging on consistency alone, this is not a good place to go to, at least for work-break lunch if you’re a fan of getting exactly what you ask for and exactly what you pay for every time, especially because it’s for work lunch so most people would expect they’d get the same thing.

Just very frustrating to deal with the inconsistency of the food and then be gaslit by the owners and told that it’s not their fault, even though they are feeding you information that is wrong and not the same every time.

UPDATE Owner decided to double down and completely missed the point of my review. You are saying the rolls already come with the avocado so I don’t need to request it, if that’s the case why do these specific rolls always get made inconsistently, sometimes with avocado sometimes without? Again, completely missing the point, doubling down, refusing to own up to the repeated issue, so again, beware of this place if you want consistent quality. Threw out half my order anyway because the salmon was exclusively...

Living in Rhode Island, unfortunately we don't have a lot of quality sushi options. We typically seek out sushi while on vacation or traveling for work. This is how we ended up at Haiku Sushi last night. From the moment that we walked in, we were treated like local VIP regulars (and there were many that came in throughout the evening). The scallop was recommended (which is one of our favorites to begin with). I cannot even begin to describe how absolutely delicious this was, we even had to order 2 additional pieces. I highly recommend the sushi for two, we didn't order that, however, we did see the platter pass by to another guest and we really wished it was coming to our table. Even though we had already finished our dinner. The owner is personable, welcoming and one of the most pleasant restaurateurs that we have engaged with in a very long time. The flavors, freshness and absolutely delicious rolls, sushi and of course beers made for a very lovely evening. Their wine list offers local Long Island wines including our favorite Paumanok Vineyards. I love that they support local! We come to Long Island for work a few times a year and Haiku sushi will now be added to a list of regular restaurants that we dine at. We can't...

We go here sometimes on sundays pretty close to when they close. It's the same waitress everytime. She has the best attitude and always makes us feel welcome. We always feel a little guilty considering how late we come in. We really appreciate that alone.

The sushi is consistently delicious. There sweet potato roll you can tell are always freshly made. I also really enjoyed the vegetable tempura. Sometimes I struggle with finding any variety when it comes to sushi being a vegetarian. There are plenty for my to choose from which goes a long way. Even the desserts they have here are a hit. The mochi is good and the fried ice cream is even better.

They are within walking distance from the aquarium. They have a very beautiful fish tank in the restaurant that is beautiful. I find myself watching it pretty often as our meal goes on.

It's just a place I can rely on for having a friendly atmosphere and wonderful food. There prices are also very reasonable. It's never to loud you can easily have a conversation. There is a huge parking lot conveniently behind the restaurant if you cant snag a spot in the front. Definitely...

I went here for lunch and although it was blazing hot outside, there was no A.C. on at all inside. Why stay and not just leave you ask? Well I went all the way put of my way and was hankering for sushi and had limited time in which to eat. If I had more time, I would have left and went somewhere else. I was greeted by my waitress who was not very engaging and had to wait until I got my food for water. Which normally i wouldn't pick at, but I was dying of heat with lack of A.C. There was no sign or explanation as to why there was no A.C. either. The only saving grace was the sushi itself. The gentleman that served it was the only smile I got since walking in. Although the food was good and the decor was nice, the service and atmosphere was poor. I wouldn't travel out of my way to come back here again.

The food here is amazing! It is seriously the best sushi I have ever had! All of the food was super fresh, like it was just caught! And normally i'm not a fan of miso soup, but their miso soup was seriously awesome. The customer service is amazing! Our server was so personable, and she is truly a gem! The head chef is also so nice, I saw him mingling with customers and such. Furthermore, one of the staff helped an elderly woman to her car. It was truly so nice to see the amazing customer service. The actual place itself is so cozy and not too small or too large, so the food comes out pretty fast! I truly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, affordable sushi place.

What does a farm cow and Haiku Sushi have in common? They’re both outstanding in their field. The food was excellent, portion sizes were healthy, and there was plenty of variety. Mary Anne, one of the owners, gave us personalized service by name and also offered her recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere is pretty authentic for a village sushi house, with vaulted timber ceiling beams and small lanterns and candles. I travel for work and get a wide variety of sushi all over the country. Haiku has some of the best around, and the prices are reasonable. Top notch!
