Cucina 25 — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

Ordered a pie and was very happy with the size and flavor. It was kinda mushy when we got it home and the cheese slid right off of the slice, which I wasn't happy about, but we waited a few minutes and it solidified and stayed together. It was delicious. I even ate my crust! Didn't need extra garlic or anything. The size was perfect. (We ordered a large pie from Sergio's and got the smallest "large" I've ever seen, and the price wasn't any lower to match the size. But at Cucina 25 it was worth the money.) Happy to become a regular. Glad they offer coupons in the ValPak and they're on the Riverhead High School discount card.

Nov 2018 critical portion of review removed I didn't think it was fair to Cucina 25 to leave the negative feedback - and right at the top no less! - when we still get pizza here twice a week because we love it; we just don't get meatball pizza or buy heroes because we hated them. Great pizza and great dinner. Started dinner with just a plain cheese pie. Very impressed with the quality of the pizza. Not too oily. Fresh tasting a sauce and perfect snappiness and crunch to the pie. Wait staff was very accommodating for a party of 8 and 2 strollers. Service was excellent Ordered spaghetti and meatballs which came with a small Italian salad. The salad was nice and fresh and colorful. Peroni beer was an excellent choice to pair with the pizza. Meatballs were good albeit not fresh tasting. Spaghetti was decent but certainly not freshly homemade. Also ordered a large grilled chicken salad. Very tasty. Just bigger version of the small Italian. Ordered a chicken parmigiana hero. Very good. Crispy bread. Perfect amount of sauce and generous portion of chicken. The French fries. Yes the French fries were amazing! Get them. I know Italian place but try it. Perfectly fresh and super crispy. Would certainly come back again. Great go to for reasonably priced food in the center...

When my brother told me that this place had the best pizza, fries, and chicken tenders, I had to try it out.

First, I’ll start with the pizza: Half regular, half onion. BOOM, that delicious mozzarella cheese, rich tasty sauce, and absolutely PERFECT NY dough were hitting with each slice. Was I skeptical about the fries and chicken tenders being that it was a pizza joint? Yes, but rest assured, I am also testifying that both of these items are SLAMMING. Those fries are the pinnacle of what fries should aspire to be: excellent seasoning, satisfying crunch, and potatoness done right. One bite of the chicken tender and I was nostalgically transported back to my childhood. The tenders have an amazing meat to coating ratio. Also that coating is incredibly flavorful.

All in all, extremely satisfied. Next time, I will try more plate options, but it’s damn hard knowing how good the pizza, fries, and chicken...
