Last year I dropped and broke my Galaxy S10, the screen was cracked pretty badly. I am very picky about my devices and I can't live with cracks on my phone. I brought it to these guys and an hour later my phone was as good as new with a brand new screen. Forward ahead a year I now have a Note 20 ultra 5G. I absolutely love this phone but last weekend in a freak accident I cracked the entire back and managed to screw up the screen so it had distortion at the top that wasn't going away and would never go away. I brought it to these guys, paid for a new screen and a new back both OEM parts, and I got the call today to pick up my phone which looks like I just took it out of the box on day one. Absolutely flawless. These guys are incredibly friendly, very informative and professionals at what they do. Phone parts for newer phones aren't cheap, so depending on your phone or repair it could still be expensive, but it's going to be cheaper than buying a brand new phone and letting your current device go to waste just because it's damaged. Older model phones have more reasonably priced parts so if you have a phone that's a year or two old or older, it might not even be that much to get a new battery, screen or back cover. Repairing glass phones today with sealed batteries is no walk in the park, so this shop is going to be my go-to going forward for any other high end phones I manage to...
Read moreIf you have a Google Pixel (any version) and your screen breaks, you'll have to call CPR ahead of time because they don't keep these in stock. I had to wait 2 days for it to arrive at the store but since they are open on Saturdays, it worked well with my schedule. The drop-off went smoothly enough and the repair took less time than expected.
When I came back to pick up my phone, I asked how the repair went and the service tech told me that it was "business as usual" so it sounded like there would be no issues. Luckily I tried using my phone before I left the parking lot because I noticed that the top portion of the phone was not responding. I went back inside and showed the service tech and he seemed surprised. He didn't really diagnose it and simply said that they would need to order another screen.
Now I'm waiting for the 2nd screen to arrive and will have to go out of my way to drop it off and wait again. This is the 2nd time I've used CPR in Liverpool. While I still had to wait for them to order the screen the first time, the phone came back and worked great. The screen on this other phone is still holding up even after some drops and scrapes.
What I'd highly suggest to CPR is to add some quick operational checks to ensure the phone is actually working. A call or text once it's done (and confirmed operational) would also be...
Read moreI don't ever luck out the way I did today! I drove over my phone after leaving it on the bumper. It landed face down in the road and shockingly appeared to have suffered only 1-2 possible, small chips or fragments of glass under the screen protector. It was fully functional otherwise. I put a claim through to repair the chips before they got worse and CPR was extremely efficient with great communication. They reached out and followed up, offering extremely flexible scheduling options and estimated my phone could be repaired in about an hour and a half. They were very easy to work with. When I arrived, (I didn't catch his name) a friendly guy came out to assess my phone, (in front of me). I explained what happened and he carefully peeled off the screen protector to reveal that there were NO CHIPS OR CRACKS! He could see the impressions in the screen protector where the pavement had pressed into the film from my driving over it, but I was fortunate that the screen protector absorbed the impact. He could have taken my phone into the back room and gotten paid for an unnecessary repair without me ever knowing, but he was honest. He declined the service request and I am now due a refund of my deductible. If I EVER DO need a screen replaced, this is the only place I would go....
