It’s not a huge deal, but I did have a bit of an issue with the customer service at the LEGO store. The staff isn’t bad, but there was definitely some attitude when I went in during December. I was shopping for my niece and had a budget to stick to. Since I had just found out she liked LEGO, I wasn’t sure which set to get her, so I asked a staff member for a recommendation. I specifically asked, “Which sets around or under $20 are the most popular with kids?”
Instead of actually helping, the guy just seemed annoyed and responded with, “Yeah, uuuuh, the stuff is right here… just look, I guess.”
Like, seriously? I asked for help, and your response is basically, “Figure it out yourself”? I wasn’t mad, but that kind of attitude just isn’t great customer service. Look, I work in retail, and I get dumb questions all the time—like when a customer asks, “How much is this?” even though the price is literally on the back. But I still take the time to answer politely, even pointing it out and making sure they don’t feel bad about it. A simple, friendly response goes a long way in making a shopping experience better.
Also, I know this isn’t the staff’s fault, but the Pick-a-Brick wall could use some work. Who really needs half a pound of LEGO snowflakes? Where are my 2x2, 2x4, and 1x6 bricks at?
Overall, it’s a really clean and well-organized store, but the staff could definitely work on their...
Read moreI LOVE stopping by and shopping at this LEGO Store! The employees here are more like brand ambassadors. They take care of their customers and do whatever they can within reason to make sure your shopping trip is fun and successful. The manager, Jim is a professional leader who not only knows how to treat customers, he also knows how to treat staff judging by the number of long time employees happily working here. When the staff is happy and outgoing, it just makes the customers feel happy as well.
As a very serious LEGO builder and buyer, I am very happy to shop at this store. The employees are friendly and treat you with respect. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their job, the company they work for and the product itself. It seems like most of the crew here build with LEGO themselves so when you have a question about a product or specific element, they know what you are talking about. I have been fortunate enough to experience the impeccable customer service at this store and it keeps me...
Read moreDisappointing experience at the Lego store. While browsing with my young child, the store manager Greg was visibly annoyed and rolled his eyes at another employee, seemingly in response to us asking him for help. This unprofessional behavior from a manager is unacceptable. Employees should treat all customers, especially families with children, with kindness and respect. I expect higher standards from a major retail brand like Lego. I would not recommend this location based on the poor customer service...
