At the Southampton Arts Center, “Second Skin” really nails it—an honest response to what’s going on culturally right now, with artists from all kinds of backgrounds. Curated by the awesome Estrellita B. Brodsky, it explores clothing as a form of art. I loved “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” at The Met, but this show stuck with me even more. The pieces are super effective, and even while tackling heavy social issues, it somehow leaves you feeling hopeful—and even smiling.
