Just wanted to share my recent experience with throwing my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at Billy Beezs in Middletown NY.
In total I paid $443 for 13 children 13 adults and 3 seniors who I was told were free. I was told to arrive one hour early to have my balance paid and to check in. Once my guests started arriving around 1 pm with gifts, I asked if we were able to leave some items in the room beforehand so we didn’t just leave presents laying around the play area and the woman at the desk seemed extremely annoyed but told me I could leave gifts in there but that was it and that we weren’t allowed to hang out in there yet. Which is fine I understand we had the room from 1:15-3:15… but then all the socks they provided for the party were in the party room… so no matter what I still had to keep going in the room early to grab everyone’s socks. Not to mentioned there were two random children not in our group playing in the room unsupervised, moving around all the chairs and touching all the plates when I first arrived and I had to remove them myself. I was told the room would be decorated for us and I have to say it was the most pitiful display I have ever seen. There were maybe 5 streamers hanging down and the balloons taped to the ceiling looked like they have been there for months and every single one was almost completely deflated. Other than that there was absolutely no other decorations After the majority of my guests had arrived I was called up to the front desk not once but twice to tell me I over over the amount of children and adults I had planned for and that I owed them more money…. which was absolutely wrong I had my guest list exactly as planned and had no extra guests showed up. I had to argue with two different employees to recount the guests on the sheet they had written down to the point I had to pull out my list on my phone and count out loud with them. Once that was finally figured out we finally got to start playing and almost everything in there is broken. The entire area with the balls that you can shoot up and around at each other was not working literally not a single thing actually worked when you pressed the buttons. In the toddler area there were many other things many things broken too as well. The entire play town was missing basically every single toy that is supposed to be there. Literally every room.. the doctors office, the school, the kitchen all were missing every single toy. We paid for the room from 1:15-3:15pm. I had asked when the pizzas are arriving multiple times between 1:30-2:15 and was repeatedly told they were coming soon. At 2:20 they made an announcement for my guests to come to the room and then we sat there another 15 minutes waiting until I went up again for the fourth time and asked about the pizzas…. They ended up not being delivered until 2:35!!! Which means we had to do pizza, cake, and birthday presents in a less than a 45 mins span. Not to mention I had multiple employees between 2:30-3 come in to remind oh how much time we had remaining in the room. I understand i booked the room for the specific time but the fact the pizzas were delivered so late was unacceptable. We were literally rush out of the room. They could have given us an extra few minutes considering how long it took for the food. But employees literally were waiting at the door at 3:15 for us to get out. For the room to remain vacant and uncleaned for almost an entire hour after we had vacated. One last funny thing was the fact that whomever called me to confirm my reservation Friday before the party made a point to tell me that the party hosts gratuity was not included ln the amount we paid for. I wasn’t aware I needed to tip anyone there and because of how badly everything was I opted to not do so. All in all it was a horrible party experience for the amount of money we paid for it. I will never recommend Billy Beez to anyone I know. I was told you guys handle everything and it was stress free and it ended up just being a...
Read moreThe reason I am giving this a poor review really has more to do with the greedy and high prices and policies. My husband, son and I went to Billy Beez for the first time today. I was told that even though we (the parents) were not intending to play, and just wanted to sit and watch him, that we had to pay an extra $10.90 (before tax) on top of the inflated price of the child general admission (14.95)... Altogether for my son to have a fun outing for an hour.. 27.95... down the drain. Quite honestly the staff spent more time chatting at the admission desk, than manning the exit and entry gates or just walking around making sure that all the kids were safe. A woman found a toddler hysterical, and was walking around asking "is she yours" That seems to be a job an employee would do... if they were not busy hanging out and getting paid to do... nothing. And when my husband inquired, to Michael (one of said employees), as to why an employee was not helping look for the hysterical toddlers parents, he was told, "it's not our problem" . I find this to be unacceptable, especially from a place that has your pictures taken for "security purposes" and band checks for "security purposes".. but ensuring a screaming toddler finds their parents is "not problem." Interesting. Don't you think? The place seemed clean, and I'm glad our son had a nice time. But manager or owner of this establishment: please know I am going to copy this entire review into a Yelp review and a corporate complaint.
And I advise anyone looking to go to this kind of establishment is to go to the Castle Fun Center in Chester, NY or even Chuck E. Cheese's in the Orange Plaza location. You will save money and have a better time while you're children are enjoying the activities .
We will never be coming back - and rest assure that all of our family and friends, plus every review website I can find... your employees are rude, and poorly trained - and Michael is overly aggressive as I type this review he keeps looking over at my husband and I... and is obviously looking for a fight. Trust me, management you'll be...
Read moreUpdate---April 2021 They changed inside interior not only because of covid, they taped up rough bars and closed the infant/little kids zone where my child loved to advanture each rooms. Also the flying ball room was closed cuz of covid. Only 1/2 of places available to let kids play.. Not sure how often they spray or sanitize inside, my socks and shirts turned light grey once I stay and take slides or others with my little one. But here keep handsanitizers on the tables at the corners. !!! Wish their part time crew(not manager, talking about a new face teen/early 20s girl)were more friendly not just leaning her elbows on the desk and ignoring parents who were waiting around the gate(People can go into actual play area when the gate is opened by crews). It was very annoyed she ignored me and other parents few times with the face showing "I'm ready ti go home" but talking with big smile to other boy crew.. Lol... (If I were their manger,I would give warning right away saying clock out if you don't want to work.) Please train new faces to be more friendly to kids and parents taking care of visitors safety as like their manager, not just leave them take paychecks only. Come on😥 Their better address is like this: 1 N Galleria Dr, Middletown, NY 10941; You'll be able to see the entrance much better way. People don't need the detail address but where the entrance is. I wouldn't come back ever if there were any better places to go for between 1-4 year-olds. I wish any baby playground(or the Baby cafe)in NJ opened their business near here. Billy Beez is more for over 4 year olds. It's indeed unfair to pay more for the little toddler's area(baby zone), each rooms were not cleaned and the toys were damaged seriously. I can't understand why they charge more for that small section :( It should've not like that ..And sure it does dirty for all around..Sad that no other place within 15 miles but...
