WARNING POLICE RESPONDED YESTERDAY CUSTOMER COMPLAINT AGAINST EMPLOYEE FOR THEFT AND INTIMIDATION at this location.
SUMMARY: Woman pictured below telling us to talk to the hand, cancels paid reservation despite no violations, inactivates keys, and attempts to not allow customer to go back inside and get his belongings before leaving. Calls her boyfriend or bodyguard over to threaten physical violence if I do not leave property. Police are called after access to belongings not allowed. Only then is customer allowed back in room.
BACKGROUND: I had toxic cleaning chemicals sprayed in my room and had to move out for a few days. While looking for something I might afford on my limited budget, I tried Microtel. Logan, who is excellent and should be the manager, heard I was struggling to meet what Microtel wanted for a three night stay and felt bad for me and wanted to help. He referred me to DSS for a government funded hotel voucher for the needy in Code Blue, which is when it's freezing cold out and people can die. I had been staying in my car because the hotels were all too expensive.
Logan checked me in, DSS gave me the voucher, I felt blessed, I was so happy with Microtel Logan and DSS. This would have been 5 stars without the obvious nitpicking complaining anyone could fuss over about a motel of this class.
Logan assured me and DSS assured me I had two more nights booked and then he went home and was replaced by this woman who would eventually become my arch nemesis for the next 48 hours or more.
Around lunch my pharmacy called me to say if I don't pick up my antibiotics back in New Jersey I would have them restocked. I had to go get them and come back so it would be hours. I saw lady below on way out and asked for a do not disturb on the room because I was not going to be around. There was a housekeeper by a housekeeping cart moving from room to room in my hallway at the time. I have never in my life once heard a hotel employee in all my forty plus years on this earth and that's many hotel stays. Ever begin arguing with me about it.
She says, none of MY girls are working today and besides they wouldn't do that anyway. I said but there's a man standing right there going in rooms with a housekeeping cart that's all I'm saying I want the door closed. She goes again, all my housekeepers are girls and he's a man. I say, I don't know your staffing roster I just see someone standing next to a housekeeping cart right now and I don't want anyone in my room.
She goes ya know what how about I call DSS and cancel your reservation ? :)
I go, wait WHAT?!!! How about I call Microtel and cancel your shift? She goes GOOD LUCK IM IN CHARGE HERE ;). I question she is not the owner or the flagship Wyndham representative. I go outside and call her a moment later to ask her if she's calmed down. She replied, oh yes I cancelled YOU you are out of here! :)
I say whattt she goes YUP :) CALL DSS and laughs in my face. So I call DSS and suddenly they're mad and say they have nothing else for me.
So then I tell her fine I'm going to leave then. I go open the door and it's locked. She's inactivated the key. I tell her to let me in this is nonsense let me get my stuff. Then a tough guy comes out and threatens me if I don't leave and stop talking to her. So I called 911 and Wallkill Police replied. If you're an employee of Wyndham or the owner or Logan reach out ill provide the report number.
First she said good luck with the police I know them all. Im shaking because I think she's opened the door taking my stuff so she can say I never had it here before the cops get there. I guard the area so I can catch her on video stealing if needed. That's how I got this photo attached.
Cops have to unlock the room and let me pack and leave. She gets me blacklisted from help and I had to sleep in the chemicals last night. And she loves it looks at the smile on her face as she power trips out and harasses me.
I will never stay here again for free or for 1 dollar with her still employed...
Read moreI’ve stayed in this hotel before and when I did I told myself I will never stay there again so I recently went back to Middletown and all the other hotel in the area was booked and this was the cheapest one I can find so I book again WORST MISTAKE EVER as I park up in the front I was already terrified due to the fact that there was a bunch of people smoking right in front of the front door as I come inside all I smelled was MIRIJUANA I look to my back and someone was sleeping in the back corner by the computer in the lobby area on two chairs as if he was home slump on the couch I proceeded to check in and the front desk guy was absolutely terrible he was rude with no manners he’s a heavy set guy with glasses he had no concern into helping me find a clean room he check me in to two different rooms they were awful one room was completely not made up and the other room he tried to convince me that it was clean however you see dirt mark on the floor, looks like the shower had just been used cause the bathroom was hot and wet you can see the used towels hanging over the shower heads open bar of soap on top of the counter top the AC vents were dirty the front of the frame of the AC vent fell of right in front of the both of us and literally the AC vent fell right in front of us both the tv doesn’t work at all and looking at the bed made my skin real itchy and it also wasn’t made up made my skin real itchy just by looking at it the bed. It had stains on them I came into the cafe area my goodness was that not a absolutely disgusting seight to see what a mess they leave in the middle of the night I had to watch my step just trying to get some coffee the front desk guy was very lazy he talks with a attitude and all he does is sit in that back chair eating in the front I had to ask for a nonsmoking room and online the building says it does not allow smoking at all but every room they tried to put me in smells like smoke “I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BOOK AT THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU LOOKING FOR A FIX” and I do not mean that in a good way I compare them to the super 8 in Middletown but for the money you paying for this hotel in my opinion save your money and book at the super 8 you would have a better at survival than you would at this hotel and from what I’ve heard from other people that complains about the microtel I hardly believe that the owner cares about the well being of his customers because almost nothings works properly at this pace but they quick to take your money they even double charge me on countless night I stayed and I had to come down and complain as to why they double charge me and the people around this area complains about the...
Read moreThis is absolutely the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was so nasty that even though we were exhausted after a 6-hour drive and it was already 10:30pm, my husband went across the way to two other hotels to see if we could get a room, but alas they had no vacancies. We originally had booked two nights but got up super early to check out immediately.
The hotel appeared that noone ever vacuums the carpets. They were dingy, dirty, and pulling up in places, especially outside the elevator where it's going to cause a serious tripping hazard some day. Our room was non-smoking on a non-smoking floor, but the entire floor reeked of skunky weed. There was a broken cigarette laying outside our door. The shower curtain had black mold stains on the bottom. The shower and bathroom floor had pink mildew staining. The towel bar was rusted and dusty. Apparently noone has ever wiped it. The sink faucet had toothpaste splatter on it from the previous guest. There were hairs on the bathroom counter. The corners of the bathroom had months of dust and gunk built up. The couch - that looked straight out of the 90s - with the pull-out bed had no sheets and it and the mattress were stained really badly. The walls were covered all over with splatter from previous guests. There was even a crayon drawing from some kid that noone ever bothered to clean off. Behind the garbage can, the wall was splattered in months of black gunk. The light above the window alcove was ringed in stains from water damage. The kitchenette counter and coffee maker were covered in white dust. The front of the fridge was not wipe. In general, I feel someone just changed the sheets in this room and didn't wipe a single thing off. The pillows have to been at least a decade old. I've never experienced such a hard and lumpy pillow in my life. Imagine taking a pillow and dipping it in glue then smashing it together as it dries. Imagine how hard and lumpy that would be. THAT was the pillow. I'm dead serious. It was beyond nasty. I begged my husband to leave that night. I said I'd rather sleep in the car - but you can't with a child, so we were stuck. Finally he agreed to check out early when the next morning we went to take a shower and there was NO hot water. I mean NO hot water. It was freezing.
Seriously, stay elsewhere. You will feel thoroughly disgusted and dirty after staying in this place with no hot water to wash that nasty...
