I live in Sidney, Ohio. I contracted Covid 19 over Thanksgiving and went to Wilson Health in Sidney on November 29th. I was shocked at the low level of care they provided. They let me sit the entire time covered in my vomit, took no tests and left me unattended for hours. All I left with was smelly clothes and a prescription. With my condition not improving much after a week, I had many unknown questions and concerns about my state of health. I was scared. I went to Kettering Health ER in Troy on December 4th. The facilities are new and very clean. I was greeted at entrance and given immediate directions to ER check in station. After a few minutes to sign in, I was quickly taken to one of the private rooms and met my assigned Nurse who changed me into a gown and got me into my bed. At this point, I had MANY staff members come in and help me. The room was full of professional medical personnel. I was completely assured that they would take care of me. Everyone was extremely kind , considate and even though they initially work swiftly ( being its an ER ), they ALL introduced themselves and slowly and clearly explained everything that they were doing. I was given IV for hydration and scheduled for multiple tests for my Heart, Lungs, and other various Lab tests. The entire time , I was made comfortable as possible. While resting in between tests, I had a big TV to watch and a call button to the Nurse right outside my room. After all my tests were finished, the Doctors discussed the results and a recovery plan with me. I had a complete story of my body's condition and peace of mind. I would like to thank all personnel who cared for me, Nurses, Respiratory and Lab technicians. Administration staff, Nurse Practitioner and Doctor. Thank you all for your professionalism, kindness, and smiles. During my visit, I felt safe and completely cared for. I recommend everyone within distance, to utilize Kettering Health ER if needed. This facility has all of my future...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience every single time me or another person I know goes here. With my most recent visit I went in sick while also having severe rib pain. A fever of 105( which went away) I had asked 4 times to be re temped because I felt the fever coming back. I was burning up and hit to the touch. Takes hour and a half to get me back to a room. Another hour+ just waiting on someone to come in. All they ended up doing was Covid test me and an X-ray. On top of drawing blood. Placed an IV didn’t use it what so ever. Would not listen to me a single bit. Just kept saying “that’s what everyone says” everyone was incredibly rude except my X-ray dude. After a total of 6 hours they told me nothing was wrong. Mind you, I was getting ready to leave and had asked for my papers (leaving against doctors orders it was 1 am I’d been there since 8:16 pm) everyone rushed to my room lol. Fiancé popped his head out multiple times to see what was up considering he left work early to take me and they were all sitting around in their phones. Went to upper valley the next day because obviously something is wrong. Got diagnosed and wonderful care. Regardless the whole thing was extremely upsetting especially considering it’s not the first time Kettering had terrible care. -10/10 would...
Read moreWent into the ER for a swelled up cyst on my neck. It has a lot of pressure and is keeping me from sleeping and causing lots of pain. It has previously been lanced twice to drain the infection over the past 2 years. The attending doctor did nothing for me to achieve any kind of relief. Just wanted to give me antibiotics which I was already taking. I feel like she didn't care one way or another whether I got any relief or not and just didn't want to deal with the issue. She was in the room for a matter of about 3 minutes total. I found the doctor's actions to be uncaring and totally unprofessional. The whole purpose of a doctor is to take care of a patient's problem. I feel like she totally didn't care. It wasn't because it was busy either. My wife and I were the only ones in there at the time. When I left the exam room the so called doctor was just laughing it up with her nurses. So Kettering network pretty much built this new hospital in Troy for what? To not help someone when they need it? I won't come back here. I'll go out of my way to go to another hospital. This was my first and only time coming here. I'll go back to Upper valley...
