I just recently moved a block or two away, and was very excited to be able to walk to the library because I love to read. Today was a nice day, so I decided to take a walk with a friend and check out the library along the way. I walked in and wanted to explore the building and decided to go down the staircase which is open and towards the center, so I figured there were some additional areas downstairs. Turns out there isn't anything down there, and I was just about to head back up when some employee had followed us down like we were some hooligans and told us to go back upstairs.    Read moreExcellent little library in Troy which has a lot for its size. Great children's book are complete with a small space for little ones to run around and interact, activity tables and places to sit and read.
The non-children's area has a wide variety of boos, magazines and media. Also copiers and a way to check out laptops. There is a section of free to take books and a book store of the older library books on the lower level.

I like the fact that you can reserve books from the entire Dayton metro system. Cons: I do miss the paintings you used to be able to check out though.
