Consistently good Tex-Mex from all of the La fiesta restaurants in the area.
Update: Not so much of a fan after today's experience. To see the fiasco that I had with the La Fiesta Express yesterday, go read that comment. Today, I came in to get some chips and salsa to go with my leftover burrito that I got from La Fiesta Express, yesterday. I asked for a small bag of chips and salsa, and a little cup of mild and a little cup of hot sauce. After watching two workers try to figure out how to ring me out for over 10 minutes, the guy tells me that it would be $13.50 for a tiny bag of chips and about 5oz. of salsa total. I asked why it was so expensive. He got a manager that then tried to charge me $9. I told them to just give me the small chips and salsa. It was $4. When I get back to work, the salsa container was half full. About an ounce and a half of salsa for about 50 chips. Seriously? I usually get take out here once a week. My lunch meal is $8.25 and comes with the same size small bag of chips and salsa. When I pick up my order, I ask for hot and mild sauce and they give them to me for no charge. Trying to charge me $13.50 after being charged $19.50 for a burrito from their La Fiesta Express down the road is crazy. They are money hungry and inconsistent with their prices. I will likely not be back for some time. They need to work on their service and make their...
Read moreI gave them 2 stars because after eating our meal we decided to order fried ice-cream. I asked 3 different times if the ice-cream contained nuts, explaining that it would be very serious for me to ingest nuts(I have a serious medical condition that prohibits me from eating ANY nuts) and was told repeatedly, "No, there are no nuts just corn flakes." They brought my dessert and the very 1st bite I took was chock full of nuts! I started coughing and accidentally swallowed them. When I asked to speak to the manager they kept repeating "no nuts". I pulled out several pecans and showed them the nuts and they had the nerve to say, "Those aren't nuts!". They told me they only buy the desserts with no nuts. After a few minutes, some employee came from the back and said they had ordered the ones with nuts for their employees, and they were sorry. Would I like a shot of Tequila?! They were not overly concerned with my condition, and removed the fried ice-cream from the table. The only thing they did was take the dessert off of our bill. I was extremely worried about ending up in the hospital, and they didn't seem to care. Fortunately, the medicine I took helped. While I like their food, their indifferent attitudes have left a bad impression of me ever going back. It...
Read moreI feel exactly like one of the previous reviewers… like I lost a good friend. We have lived in Troy for 20 years and have spent so many occasions at this restaurant. We used to be greeted by friendly staff and feel so welcomed at every visit. The past couple of times have been so disappointing- waiting for drinks or chips or to find out who our waiter is. The previous time i ordered water with my meal and the waiter rudely asked me why i didn’t order a Margarita, and proceeded to ask me if I just don’t drink alcohol in general. Tonight we had to flag down our waiter who was also working behind the bar, to get refills and chips. Another server brought us our food and no one ever came back to check on us. I ordered chicken fajitas which included many small pieces of overcooked chicken..We had to flag down our waiter again to get a box and our bill. I truly felt like it was inconvenience on our part just being there. When we paid for our dinner we did not receive a thank you, have a good night or anything. As we walked out a middle aged waitress just glared at us and never smiled or offered any friendly greeting. After 20 years of fond memories and bragging to others about how impeccable the food and service is … I must sadly...
