I usually stop by this location pretty often in between my classes and hadn’t really had an issue until today, they’re usually very busy (which is understandable given their location) so there’s usually a long wait even if you do a mobile order but again, that’s to be expected. I would have given fewer stars if my usual experiences there weren’t usually good, but this particular visit was a little jarring. I tried my drink and it tasted off so I asked if it could be remade and the barista asked another one if she made it correctly, she said she did so the first proceeded to tell me it was in fact made correctly and didn’t take it to be remade. Having been a Starbucks barista myself I know this is against policy and they should have remade it and not argued with me about it. The second barista (the one who made it I think) offered to remake it, she was very nice and sweet and I appreciate her for this. I understand that maybe the machine needs to be calibrated and perhaps that’s why it didn’t taste correct or whatever the reason the first was trying to give me, I’ve been there and done that myself. But these drinks aren’t cheap and all I’m asking is to have the drink I paid for and the one I was given wasn’t that. The second one I was given didn’t really taste right either but I wasn’t about to argue about it anymore, I’m a tired student and I just wanted the drink I’ve gotten every day for 3+ years. The point I’m trying to make here is that usually my experience here is good, however there should be more adherence to company policy because telling customers they’re wrong like that is not a...
Read moreI always go in and got used to the long waits and seemingly uninterested behavior but today I ordered something different, usually I order a chai tea latte but I decided to get a pumpkin spice lattes with an extra shot of espresso (exactly how I said it as I ordered it), and ended up with only one shot of espresso in the whole drink (when there was supposed to be 3 since a grande comes with 2 shots naturally + I ordered a 3rd shot to be added). I noticed the problem immediately and tried it anyway, but it was just sugary milk, so I went back in immediately and asked if an extra shot was added. The guy who I saw putting the spice on top and gave me the drink said he didn't know cause he didn't make the drink, and the only other lady who could've made it just stared at me and didn't do anything. I didn't want to start a whole fuss so I ate it and drank the drink but thoroughly did not enjoy it and am frustrated with how I was treated and people acted like I was insignificant and invisible. No problem solving was attempted, they just wanted me out of their store so they could keep doing their job as minimally as possible. This was a waste of almost 7$ and makes me not want to go back to a starbucks, though based on past experiences I know not all locations are as awful and careless as this one. Awful experience and wildly unsatisfied with a bad taste in my tongue left from their...
Read moreTruly the worst Starbucks I have ever been to -- and I've been to many around the globe. As a student at UA, I always hoped this location would turn around to be a comforting and quick place for students studying at the library (literally attached to this building), but it has progressively (somehow) gotten worse.
I went in today, knowing I had a 2-hour break due to my previous experiences with extreme wait times here despite few customers, and ordered a simple iced peach green tea. I specifically told the cashier I did not want lemonade. I waited for nearly 45 minutes before I saw one of the baristas finally start to make my drink, and I watched her pour lemonade into it. As soon as she called my name, I asked politely if there was lemonade in the drink. She looked at the label (wow! maybe think to do this before making the order?), which only said peach green tea on it, before giving me a dirty look and throwing the drink to the side to start my correct order.
Mind you, this drink takes a maximum of 30 seconds to make. This is the one place of the school I will not miss when I graduate. Would not recommend this location to anyone. Among my many visits here, I have yet to encounter a kind or even somewhat happy-looking staff member. Instead of making my day better, this place always...
