I usually go into Best Buy for general electronics and appliance needs, but this time I had a whole other reason and unfortunately I was left empty handed, but not empty hearted.
You see, my friend emailed me a promotional flyer for a human-like AI karate instructor robot available exclusively at Best Buy for an introductory price of $6969. And this was a very enticing robot. Full on anime-waifu features with a very volumptious hour-glass figure. I figured, despite the price being a little on the high side, it was still less than the used 2009 Honda Civic with 100k miles on it that I had my eyes on. Also my friend told me to think of it much like a real estate investment. Buy now and be in the hole for a minute, wait a few years and then profit as rarity, appreciation and regulations adjust. So I signed up for a new AMEX card and made my way into your delightful establishment and asked to speak to someone in electronics. I showed them the flyer and then they paused and looked around for quote on quote "cameras".
I was a little taken aback as your employee very politely explained how 'there's no scantily clad anime robot karate instructors' in stock just yet. At first, I didn't appreciate his tone and his putting emphasis on 'scantily clad' insinutating that I was somehow attracted to its perfectly balanced and enlarged, natural looking bosoms or tight toned, flat stomach. Its enlarged blue eyes and a very willing, yet forbidden disposition whilst bending slightly over to showcase what looked to be a very plump and peach shaped behind covered only by a tiny, almost nonexistant heavenly white skirt. Beautiful blue pigtails masking dangerous and ancient, wise techniques.
I was just looking for an efficient way to learn karate because self-defense, especially these days, is an essential tool to keep in the tool-box of modern survival. I just thought it would be nice to fast-track the learning experience from a robot with simulated emotions and no judgement. I just wanted to learn karate, I wasn't going to do anything else with it. I can promise you that! Seriously, I love martial arts and technology. I would have just spent an hour learning how to chop and parry and then quickly plugged it in to recharge in a completely different room from mine. All the way on the opposite side of the apartment. I would definitely forget about it and let it charge until the next day as I was keeping busy being productive and reading books about knowledge and thinking about helping people and stuff and nothing weird or anything.
I explained all of that to him but he just asked "okay seriously, what do you need help with?" I asked when they plan on having them in stock and he said you guys will be sure to put it on the website as soon as there's an announcement. Please do because I need this. Sooner the better. I think a lot of guys can benefit from learning martial arts in the privacy of their own home. Just saying.
Other than that, the place is still as impressive as the last time I came in for laptop camera covers. Staff is very attentive and on point. Thank...
Read moreEverything about my experience from time of purchase mid September until today, has been obnoxious. If I could I wouldn't give any stars.
I ordered a refrigerator, otr microwave and oven on September 17, 2020 in upwards of over $3,000. I had to wait 2 months for availability of products and delivery times.
My expected delivery was set for November 20th between 12p-5p. I received a call November 19th around 5p giving me a reminder of my delivery and to inform me that the delivery window was changed to 12p-8p.
November 20th at 8p I had not received any call in regards to my delivery. I contacted customer service and spoke to at least 5 different representatives, I was put on hold for 30 min with no check in (dead silence) I was hung up on twice and still not one of them could tell me where my appliances were at or why they had not been delivered.
After hours spent between being on hold, hung up on and speaking to multiple people, they advised me to call back in the morning as they were not able to reach anyone from the delivery team.
First day with no appliances as I had gotten rid of my old ones to make room for my new ones. I called the next morning, November 21st, I spoke to 5 more different representatives, none able to tell me anything except the systems shows my order in transit. I spoke with a supervisor, finally after being on hold for 45 min and she said she was not able to see exactly where and why I had not received my delivery. She said she needed to do an investigation and would call me back in the morning. I spent a wasted 2 hours on the phone with no resolution.
Day 2 with no appliances old or new, it is now November 22nd, 2 days after my original delivery date and not one single Best Buy call.
November 23rd I went into the store since it was very clear no one over the phone had any interest in helping me. I canceled my installation on November 19th due to Covid concerns and according to the in store rep, instead of just canceling just the installation they canceled my entire delivery. My appliances had been sitting in the store since November 19th. The 3rd party delivery team and BestBuy.com had not communicated with the store NOR myself (paying customer) that the delivery had been accidentally canceled.
I now will be picking up my appliances myself after 4 days with no appliances in my home and with no regards of the complete and utter inconvenience from Best Buy. I will never ever buy through them and this will not be my last method...
Read moreMy mom bought me a touch screen for my car and I had it installed at another Best Buy store. When I drove home I realized I was missing the cord for apple car play. And also the guy that ordered the additional parts for me forgot to order the cord so my steering wheel could control the volume. I was upset because I got home late and it was my only day off of work for me to get this screen installed and I drove 30 mins to get to the other Best Buy store. So I was yelling at the manager at the original store because he tried telling me I kept changing my story and how I wasn’t making sense and said how I should be going to the Wetmore location to talk to them! The guy that helped us pick out the radio didn’t not order one of the parts for my steering wheel to control the radio, I tried explaining that and he continued to say that’s not their fault and it’s the Wetmore stores fault. Like I said, I couldn’t use the apple car play because I didn’t see the cord in my car for it! Then when I got to the Wetmore store the guy tells me the wire was underneath my seat the whole time! He never told me about the cord when he first installed everything. I was so mad with Best Buy when I went there and I told them they need to give me a full refund or a discount. Can you believe that the manager was refusing to give me a discount for the inconvenience! So eventually i got $130 discount and only Paid $40 for the attachment for my steering wheel. It was a waste of time. I went to the Wetmore location twice! And three times to the original store....
