Worst experience ever!! In my opinion DO NOT USE KAYS. We went looking for a anniversary ring/ vow renewal first week in November. We loved the new associate and Tracy who helped us. However we were told 14-20 days. Then all the problems started. We received a email Kays received our ring on 11-22 I knew that once we received that email we would get one stating it's been sent out for sizing. Nope so I figured they forgot to email us. I called December 6. It had been sitting in there store since Nov. 22nd and wasn't sent out for sizing. WOW, so I asked about the other band we purchased and should have been in there store December 6. No clue where it was. So they told us it had to be specially made. The vendor it's coming from said it was out of stock till December 26. We went and picked up the band that was finally sized. We were in shock. The diamonds were dull. The manager Valeria said "Well what do you expect, you purchased low grade diamonds." I told her well at the time of purchase I didn't know nor was I told they were low grade diamonds. Now I was getting frustrated. We were told that Valeria(mngr) would call us for sure on the 26 to let us know about the other ring. Guess what NO call back. So I called her on 27th. She was so defensive saying it's not my fault I'm just the middle man. No one was blaming her. I was just asking why she didn't call back like she promised. I didn't know it's a customer job to make sure they are doing there job. How many customers do you have that don't receive there purchases that you can't remember to call one. So then I was promised I would definitely be called back on the 30th. She was putting notes to remind her. Guess what No CALL BACK!!! SHOCKING!! So I called them before close still no ring. Here we are almost 2 months later still no ring!! SO IF YOU DON'T MIND...planning your big day with a empty box or a borrowed ring. Well then by all means use Kays. But if you want it to be special and have a actual ring to propose or renew vows or just have a ring for whatever occasion. Go elsewhere. It is my Opinion...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE NEGATIVE STARS!!?? I'm not one to usually leave bad reviews on a establishment but this is too much. I'll try to make this short as possible but there's just some details too hard not to tell.
The customer service here at the beginning is great, very friendly and helpful BUT that's because they want to make a sale. After that, the customer service drops drastically at best. The staff here are clueless, I'm not sure if they keep hiring and firing new people or they are just simply lazy. My husband and I live decently far from this location about 45 minutes to an hour drive. We made the wrong choice getting our wedding jewelry here.
Once you've made your purchase and need additional service like getting a resize, you better look somewhere else because you won't find it here. My husband had returned the rings because the suggested size the KAY's Rep told him to purchase was too big, even though he already told her what size to order. The new replacements were suppose to be in by the first week of August 2017 but the MANAGER ordered the wrong sets. SO.. she told us, that she'd re-order it but we would have to wait longer. WHY? But we agreed, the actual CORRECT sets were going to be in mid-September 2017 at the LATEST, it's MID- NOVEMBER 2017!!!
Every time we've called, they have a hard time finding our account, our names or what the reason for checking up. They say, they'll "UPDATE your profile and make a note or NOTES" but no one ever seems to because every phone call, is like the first time they are hearing about it. The staff there are not helpful and the manager, doesn't have much of an idea of what she's doing either. There are plenty of beautiful rings else where with better customer service. If you find a specific brand at KAY's, try going to that brand directly if possible to avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKay has been a complete disappointment. I bought a wedding ring with Kay and it wasn't properly sized to begin with so I had to get it resized after the ceremony, in addition some of the plating wasn't finished correctly. I was given a "promise date" of about two weeks, which came and went without any notification of the ring being finished, I finally had to call the store back myself to find out what the problem was. After receiving the ring I discovered the plating still wasn't finished correctly and overlapped a bit on the end of one side, a little rough piece that rubs against my finger, and there are new scratches on the ring. In addition the sizing is strange in that one side seems to be ever so slightly larger than the other.
I'm addition to the above when I originally sold the ring I was told the warrenty I purchased was a lifetime warrenty, and I financed the ring on the day of purchase. When I went in to pick it up (after the initial sizing) the person helping me tried to charge me a second time to which I had to show the balance of my account to prove payment had already been taken care of. After proving payment they then tried to charge me for resizing to which I mentioned it should have been covered by the warrenty, at this point had to show them a warrenty had been purchased but I was then informed it was only for a few years and not for life like I had been told when I made the purchase.
Throughout this entire process the level of care has been appalling, the majority of the staff seemed indifferent after the actual purchase was made. I don't ever plan on going back to Kay after all this considering nothing was done right and there was no attempt on Kay's part to correct the situation. The first and second parts happened at TWO different Kay locations so they will both be receiving...
