Now that we live in Tucson again we can resume our yearly traditions. The Blessing of the Animals is one we love to attend and look forward to on the Saint day of St Francis. Such a worthwhile event that not only provides blessings but free microchipping, pet bed giveaways, food, services. Local vendors come to enlighten and support. The Rev’d Canon Mary, welcomed us and made it her responsibility to find St. Francis medallions for two of our furry kids. Our girls were blessed and came home with new dog beds and a pet playpen. Read moreI have come to a point where I am updating my review. I have tried to make St. Philip's in the Hills my home, but it's been difficult. I had my mom's memorial here. I'm not wealthy and could only offer $60. I feel the church fell short in grief counseling. Some activities are too expensive for me. Every time I go to a service I feel ashamed, because I can not pledge. At times it seems as if one has to be of the upper-class as in status and education. It's very daunting, so unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere for support...
