Lakeside Dining — Attraction in Tuscaloosa

I am a freshman here at UA second semester so I am a regular and always swipe in when going to get a meal here. My friend and I went to eat at SOLA and we swiped in there, after eating we went to get coffee down stairs and walked down the stairs because we were on the other side of the dining hall. As we walk down we were grabbing a cup of coffee on the way to class and going to swipe our card once we headed to that side of the building like we always do. As we were leaving to swipe our card we were approached by one of the workers yelling at us in an unruly manner. She came up to my friend and I and got in our face accusing us of stealing and saying “”YALL ARE DOING WRONG YALL ARE STEALING ANS THIS IS SERIOUS GO CHECK IN NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND” and on and on. The tone she gave us really ruined my day and the fact that she got up in our faces about something so small as we were going to do the right thing. She was about 5”7 standing near the drink machine. I am a freshman at Bama and almost done with my first semester of school here. The only reason I go to lakeside is due to being extremely hungry and having no where else to go. I don’t know if there is management at lakeside but if there is, it is terrible. There is only one employee who seems to know what customer service is, and that is Greg. Other than Greg, all the employees are very bitter and seem to hate being in lakeside as much as I do. There are certain hours of the day when there is literally no food being served and you have to wait until one of the cooks decides to get off their phone and start doing their job. I mean, its definitely the worst dining hall on campus. That being said, University of Alabama is still pretty great so the food isn't terrible. I prefer to go to other dining halls over this one, even if it means a longer walk. At nights, now they have events and sometimes "end" dinner early (meaning that their is a limited selection). This sometimes mean only decisons between pizza or spaghetti, waffles or corn soup and no in between. However, recently, they have created the CrimsonFry which is pretty cool when its on the patio, but the chicken is inferior to Raising Cane's.
