Starbucks — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

I'm sure that most people are familiar with the concept of Starbucks, but for the uninitiated, I will explain. A room decorated like what your upstairs neighbor named Preston would have bought in 2012, full of college students with MacBooks plastered with stickers promoting good vibes, taking care of the earth, and the 2005 TV sitcom The Office. This scene is soundtracked by the expert pairing of Britney Spears's "Womanizer," followed by the first :45 seconds of "Fireflies," before settling on "The Scientist,' by Coldplay. Of course, this is exactly what those familiar with Starbucks have come to expect, along with usually fast and courteous service, as well as drinks that allow white people to believe they're quirky while really being the equivalent of a toddler knee-deep in a jar of straight-up...

I want to start out by saying this is in no way meant to be rude to the workers of this Starbucks who have a lot on their plate I imagine. What I will say is that I was waiting for 7 minutes for someone to take my order (no one else in line.) There were batistas working on drinks, but there were 2 employees standing around, it seemed like they were watching the baristas. I was confused because why are there two employees and I still am left waiting? It seems like there is something wrong with how the place is being run. As Google Maps told me, my visit to this place was a year ago even though I live nearby and love coffee. While most of the staff here are nice, it really sucks that this place doesn’t give you your Starbucks rewards so what’s the point of having a rewards program? This may seem insignificant but as a regular paying customer, this is not the treatment I would like to receive. And actually because of this, I stopped consuming Starbucks products which I just realized now cause it’s been so long. Little things like this could really ruin you.
