I LOVE crunch gym. I had a year membership but decided to persue a yoga studio, but I missed it so much I've decided to do both. I've experienced both 24hr and Bally's (when it was in business) and so far crunch is best experience with a gym I've had. Esp. This crunch gym in Tustin, the staff is so friendly, they always get me with a smile and several of them make an effort to know your name. The price is fabulous for what they offer. They charge you a 39$ annual fee which covers replacing old equipment and needed repairs. I constantly see them working on machines vs at the other gyms I would see a not working sign on a treadmill for a month or more. The equipment does get renewed as well. I've seen leather slam balls and battle ropes replaced when they needed it. They keep the place clean as well. I have taken some of their classes as well and really enjoyed them. I would suggest getting at least the peak membership, 1. Base 2. Peak 3. Peak plus. Peak is 19$ a month right now and that means I can bring practically unlimited guests with me. I usually bring my husband. He needs a profile and a guest card but after that he can come with me whenever I want, he just can't go to the classes unless he pays 5$. I could come back later that day with a new person, so if you wanted to you could split the bill with a friend but 19$ a month you really can't beat. They also have a tanning area and massage bed but that's with the peak plus membership. They also have group personal training classes which are good of you want those quicker results and can't afford a personal trainer. I had a personal trainer for the year I was there previously and it was amazing. They are all really good at what they do, they will personalize your workouts to what your goals were. I'm not sure what the cost is currently but if you can afford it, it is cheaper than 24hr fitness probably, it was when I paid for it. And it is worth it! I had the pleasure of working with a manager before he became a manager, Kai and than Eric. They do care about your results and are very well trained. It is a compact gym and sometimes a little smaller but with everything included-clean, friendly staff, great classes, great personal trainers, kept up machines and equipment, and a good price it's great! They also have two squat racks. And three bench press benches. There is also a combat training center, with pull up options, and some punching bags. There also a strip of artificial turf for pushing and pulling a sled. These are some newer exersizes that they have added. Of course if your want a good time when less people are there mornings are the busiest and nights are busy as well after 10:30-11am it shows down and picks up a little at 4ish. It was that way when I left a couple months ago, I assume it will be about the same. And on the hours they are open for holidays it is a ghost town...
Read moreThe best Crunch in OC. I say that with passion as I've gone to multiple Crunch's, such as Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Burbank, etc. The 5 stars earned by this gym goes to the following: Staff/Management - Their staff is friendly and they always say hi and bye everytime I enter and leave. This makes my introvert self feel empowered to do extroverted activity throughout my day. Their personal trainers such as Mario are knowledgeable and personally have educated me on how my own body works. In addition, truly an honorable/integrity/ethical gym when enforcing the limit of how many folks are allowed during the pandemic restrictions. Cleanliness is 10/10. Before and during this pandemic, they kept their honor with refilling the bottles with sanitation liquids, copious amounts of paper towels, and hand sanitizers. The fellow gym members. I can say the people here are nice, friendly, and determined. Being how Tustin is centralized to Irvine and Orange, the clientele are older folks and younger folks. Though age could be a factor, I am more confident to say it's the maturity. The maturity of my fellow gym members are higher than other gyms. You'll get a few guys that will go hard with chalk, but nothing out of the ordinary. Other gyms... I've seen very inexperienced users hurting themselves, or 3 people using 1 equipment (menage e trois), or people using 3 machines as 1 exercise with no social mindfulness. Equipment - I have not seen a drop in quality of the equipment. This must mean that they either replace the dirty messed up ropes before I can see or use them, or they certainly take quality seriously. I have also seen a "cable" machine go down for 1 day, and the next day was repaired.
Thank you kindly for reading til the end. I hope to not disappoint your excitement after reading this....

Trainer: Roberto
Roberto has really been helpful. When I started at crunch, I had been out of the gym for about 20 years... I'm 37, definitely not an old man, but not in the best shape either. Roberto designed a comprehensive program and provided guidance with nutrition, cardio, strength and endurance training. He worked around injuries in my knees and shoulders to help me achieve very good results. I'd recommend meeting with Roberto if you are new, need a refresher, or want to up your game. He'll work at your pace and if you work, you'll get results! He is knowledgable, an excellent communicator, and he will encourage and push you enough so you maximize your time and effort. Time is money, so maximize your time and effort with expert guidance.
Gym:
I've been a member at this gym for almost a year. What I appreciate most is the cleanliness and ample supply of free weights. They have plenty of machines too and everything is new and in good condition. It seems like they are always adding new equipment. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. This is a great place to get fit and it's a...
