Tyler Escape Room — Attraction in Tyler

My group went last Saturday and at first we had a great time. It’s a simple and quaint Escape Room experience, but they made due with what they had. However, the TV for times and clues stopped working early on in the game. We had to walkie talkie for a clue, but did not receive any response. We kept trying until I believe the owner (middle aged woman, seemed family operated), stormed in. She was very rude and acted as if we were interrupting her day. Exclaiming she had other games going on and for us to stop communicating through the walkie. She calmed down when we told her our TV is broken and we can’t hear her. We paid for the experience and wanted a response on a clue because it’s timed. It killed the mood for our whole group and we ended up not finishing. As a business owner, if you can’t handle a busy Saturday that’s on you, don’t freak out on paying customers. I would never go back nor would I...

My friend and I were looking for a fun, unique experience—and this escape room absolutely delivered! From the moment we stepped in, we were immersed in the creativity and thoughtful details the creators poured into the space. Solving the puzzles and locks was such a blast, and we really appreciated the unlimited clues (we definitely needed them!).

While there was a bit of a delay in receiving hints due to other teams also needing help, the host went above and beyond by giving us an extra 20 minutes since no one had booked the room after us. Such a kind gesture that made our two-person adventure feel extra special.

I'd rather go to Escapology. We did the Murder Mystery here and the whole experience seemed like a bust. First, they don't offer any refreshments. Didn't even have some water. Second, the clues are not even clues. It's a game of chance. There is no cohesiveness or flow. No wonder they give unlimited help. You will definitely need it a lot. So what fun is that? It got to be very frustrating and not much fun by the end. And not browbeating the host, but we had to ask to have our picture taken. The energy and atmosphere was just so underwhelming.
