The Museum itself is very cool for anyone interested in Georgian era and all around antique artifacts and information. But it was a little confusing to find the building at first, and the tour experience was a bit lacking in the “tourist” aspect. There’s no real way to sit and enjoy the garden and you’re kind of left waiting in the gift shop until they have enough people there to start the tour. The buildings were very cool and the guide gave a lot of fun information! It would’ve been nice to have the option of taking some photos in certain areas with your group. We did however enjoy ourselves and actually went back to considering getting married there. Unfortunately, there really is no AC or a way to control the temperature in the carriage house, which is the only other space usable if you don’t want the outdoor tent. The actual Museum (House) is not an option and the bathrooms were more along the lines of park bathrooms. We had a nice time at the Museum and the gardens are very beautiful, but in all it would be nice to elevate...
Read moreOur family had an egg-citing time at Liberty Hall's Easter egg hunt! The event was well-organized, and the staff went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for the kids.
The museum grounds provided a beautiful backdrop for the hunt, and the kids loved exploring the historic property while searching for eggs. The eggs were cleverly hidden, ensuring that the hunt was both challenging and fun for children of all ages.
In addition to the egg hunt, there were also other activities for the kids to enjoy. The staff were friendly and engaging, and they did a wonderful job of keeping the children entertained throughout the event.
One of the highlights was the visit from the Easter Bunny himself! The kids were thrilled to meet him and take photos, adding an extra special touch to the day.
Overall, we were very impressed with Liberty Hall's Easter egg hunt. It was a well-planned and enjoyable event that brought joy to our family and many others. We look forward to attending more events at this museum...
Read moreThis review is based on our experience at the Easter egg hunt hosted by the museum this year. We were told to arrive 10 minutes early, but the event didn’t actually start until 12:40 PM so we had to wait around for 50 minutes with restless kids.
We paid about $15 per child for the hunt, but just a few days before the event, we were informed that each child would be limited to only 10 eggs. That’s something that should have been made clear before we bought tickets. Had we known, we likely wouldn’t have attended.
To make matters worse, the eggs only contained low-quality chocolate with no variety. My kids wouldn’t even eat them. They said they tasted bad. For the price, I expected something more thoughtful and enjoyable.
The grounds themselves are beautiful and probably worth a visit, but you can likely explore them without paying for an event like this.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning for another Easter egg hunt at...
