Whent shopping here with my best friend for her wedding gown. The first consultation to find her dress was absolutely horrible. The consultant was VERY rude to her and almost had her leaving in tears. After telling the consultant SEVERAL times to not come in while my friend was changing, the consultant told us she had been a dance instructor for many years and "has seen it all." It wasn't about the consultant being uncomfortable, it was about my friend who was the one uncomfortable with a STRANGER seeing her in her undergarments.
Then, the consultant kept bringing dresses that were the opposite of what my friend had wanted. Eventhough my friend had shown her pictures before the consultation even started. To make things even more "fun", the consultant would keep talking on and on about these dresses that my friend DIDN'T like! When my friend finally brought this issue up, the consultant said "Honey, you talk too much." I couldn't believe it! We had been there for almost two hours at this point and only tried on five dresses because most of our time was spent on the consultant yapping away at these dresses that were not what my friend wanted! My friend did end up finding her gown there, but our "wonderful" time with stacy's was yet to be over.
A week before my friend got married we had a fitting. We were brought back to the dressing room area to wait for the dress. It was brought to us in a pink bag, and we couldn't see the dress through it or anything. As soon as we unzipped that bag we were furious. NOTHING had been changed with the dress. When the dress was bought we had gone up to the alterations area and everything my friend wanted with her dress had been pinned into place! All she needed were the straps placed off of her shoulders, and the dress to be brought in a couple inches.
We then said everything that was wrong and said we needed it done as soon as possible. At this time we only had a week till the big day. Then we were told it would be done by five o'clock that day. So, we waited and went back by the time five rolled around.
Got back to the dressing room and waited for the dress. When the dress arrived the only thing that had been changed was the fact it had been taken in too much. My friend is a size 0 by the way. Plus, it was only a couple hours before that we had the seamstress measure how much she needed to take in!
So, we were told to wait because it wouldn't take very long to fix. Waited an hour before the dress was back. Finally the straps were where they needed to be and the dress fit, BUT there was a cut at the top of her dress that was about an inch long. When it was shown to the seamstress she said "I did not do that." She was the only one fixing the dress! We even had a consultant, who had been with several other coustomers at this point and had seen the dress, confirm that the cut was not there before. After having a different seamstress fix the cut, we were finally able to get out of stacys with my friends dress.
Never going here again. Would NOT recommend going here to anyone. Horrible coustomers service. Awful experience over all for my friend and everyone who was with...
Read moreGO ELSEWHERE! I am not one for usually writing reviews, but the horrible experience I had at Stacey's deserves to be shared. I went to a few different places to look at dresses and ended up finding one at Stacey's. The initial consultation was a good experience - pleasant sales person, a variety of dresses, and no issues. Shortly after I made my deposit on the dress (over a year before my wedding), we had some changes to our venue and I started to worry that the dress would no longer work. I called Stacey's right away to explain the situation and to see if I would be able to look at a different dress instead. They had me talk to my sales person who shared several times how it would be no problem at all. He said I could come in anytime, didn't give me any deadlines, and when I questioned him to make sure everything would be okay, he shared with me that he is actually taking over Stacey's.
So, I felt better about it since I am talking to the new "owner". A few months passed and I didn't get a chance to get in, I was still planning details, and even the venus situation (hotel versus beach). I didn't feel like I had to rush to get in, as nobody gave me a deadline, And the "owner" himself told me I can come in anytime no problems. Fast forward to a few months later, I call in and I am told that the person who claimed to be a new owner is no longer there and the promises that he made me, the store wasn't keeping. I understand not having good employees, but that should not be taken out on the customers. Stacey finally said she will honor it, but that I would have to buy a more expensive dress. Mind you, I never wanted any money back, even if I got a less expensive dress. All I wanted was a dress that would work with my new venue.
When I did come in to look at new dresses, the sales lady that was assigned to me told me that I can't look at anything else. I was confused, as all this time I was told that I would be able to. I asked to talk to Stacey, and that is actually when this experience got even worse. She came out of the back, storming at me, yelling that I can't look at new dresses. This was in the front of the store, with other customers around. She was rude, condescending, and overall embarrassing. I kept talking to her nicely asking her to honor the promise that her former employee made, but she continued to be completely awful. She did not apologize once, had no regard for me or for the other people in the store watching this mess. I could not believe that someone would treat a customer this badly. Awful person, no better way to put it. I don't know how she is still in business. If you want to be respected, treated fairly, go anywhere else but Stacey's. As I said, I do not write reviews usually, no matter the experience, but this was the worst person and worst customer service situations I have ever been in. After reading reviews, there were sooo many that talked about Stacey and how horrible she is - I wish I could have seen them before giving my time and...

You never admit fault, always blaming others. You always word your sentences with little remarks meant to take shots at the customer. Little advice, your business would do much better with a nicer attitude towards people, and accepting responsibility for mistakes like an adult. In the past 3 years I have heard nothing but how horrible this business is through word of mouth. I myself have prevented at least 2 wedding parties from coming to your shop. Also, maybe donât try so hard to beg for good reviews, or for people to âchangeâ their bad review. ;) Unprofessional, dishonest, âbusiness ownerâ at its finest.
This store deserves a -50 star rating. Would not recommend this place to anyone! I got my wedding dress from here, and 3 bridesmaid dresses. None of the staff listen to you, and never know what the heck is going on. They even wrote my information in someone elses folder! After paying for my dress, jewlry and veil. They then decided to veil and Jewlry was not purchased. After one of their employees decided to bag it up for me and send it home with me stating "everything was all taken care of and to pick my dress up on monday" I then get a personal text message from Stacey saying that I owe her $300 more because her staff forgot to add the 3 tickets together! I was furious your staff messed it up, yet we are expected to cough up $300 because you didnt add it together? Then I decided I would let them keep the veil and jewlry as I would just return the items and would just go and look somewhere else for those items. I then recieve a personal text message from Stacey again stating she has cancled my order all together 2 weeks before my wedding, and half of it was already paid for! So now here we are, 2 weeks before the wedding, while Stacey is refusing buissness to us all because I told them I would just take the jewlry back instead of paying for it. They are extremely unprofessional and it even went to the point of her telling her in store employees not to answer any of my phone calls. Not only that but the whole tux was a disaster, Ive never had to explain myself so many times in my life, to come back and find out its all wrong again! It was like talking to a bunch of idiots! Complete waste of my family and I's time! Will never go back or waste another...
