I have walked through the Ft. garden many times. Beautiful any time of the year but especially late spring, summer and fall. The garden is tended and maintained by volunteers and the park service. The Fort Garden has a representative sample of many of the flowers and veggies that would have been grown more than 150 years ago by inhabitants of the Fort and the surrounding inhabitants. Free admission to wander the Garden and surrounding area. The Fort adjacent to the garden requires admission except those with certain passes including the Senior Golden Age Pass.
