Skating Plus — Attraction in Ventura

We came here for free skate and we’re gonna do both sessions. But ended up leaving and wishing we never went.We got there and it started out pretty good however there was a birthday party that showed up and every one in that group seemed to be going the wrong direction. So half the rink was going one way and the other half going the other direction which is very unsafe. I’m skating at my own risk but I’m assuming the facility is enforcing the rules so the sign they have put up wouldn’t hold up in court because they don’t enforce the rules that are there for safety. Not once but twice I had two boys about 8-9 years old put together their skate mates and purposely knock me down. And they laughed both times. It was difficult to go around them cause a lot of people were standing along the walls just hanging out. I went to the floor guard and she was EXTREMELY rude and said she knows how to do her job and the two boys continued to crash into people on purpose. I have no problem with skate mates I think they are a great way to introduce beginners and get more kids into skating. However they are a privilege and when it was reported by not only me but other family’s that they are running into them laughing they should have been confiscated. Skating plus, used to be one of our favorite playground, totally safe and family oriented, Alex, grew up there, learning to skate and even a few more tricks the great instructors taught him. That's where we also met great people like Tristan and his family, we spent 2 different nights when kids that belonged to the skating club got to enjoy a night of fun activities, snacks, skating, movie night and a breakfast next day. Great place for kids to exercise, advance and even showcase their abilities in special shows and even competitions. I had my daughters surprise 9th bday party here tonight and I just wanted to make sure the amazing, wonderful, patient staff that helped me got the recognition they deserve! From Jacob helping me over the phone last minute with my thousand questions and helping me with the surprise aspect of the party. To Anuhea at the box office being incredibly kind and patient getting everyone in and also helping me get the birthday girl in without making it obvious there was a party waiting foe her. To both Marc and Sonny who assisted the mob of wild children needing skates and needing to switch out size til we got it right.
