Walmart — Local services in Ventura

The employees are so unprofessional and rude and lazy!!! Every time I shop there I have random ppl asking me where things are because no employee is actually going to help with that!!! I recently had a run in, if you will, with this teenage boy named Isaac claiming to be loss prevention. He embarrassed me while I was in line waiting to pay for my items. He stopped my transaction!!!!! He refused to allow me to purchase my items!!! I was falsely accused of "shop lifting", the boy claimed I had "eaten a snack and failed to pay" however the place where he found me to confront me about this imaginary incident was in no other place than the checkout lane!?! Im sure anyone can imagine the array of feelings I experienced all at once, shock, disbelief, confusion, anger, and most of all complete humiliation!!! I asked to see a manager and a teenage girl named Valerie eventually found her way over to "help" but It was no surprise she did absolutely nothing but stand there staring blankly at me while I filed her in on the situation. When I finished she put her hands in her pockets, Leans on the cash register bagging round and sheepishly replies " well he says you cant get your stuff" then looks over at Isaac for approval giggling and blushing. I continued to plee my innocents to no avail and before I left the store without my items I asked what proof they had of the incident they had so adamantly accused me of, and do you know what I was told?????!! By this all knowing store manager Valerie and her loss prevention boy Isaac?!?!? Well here's the kicker folks, THERE WAS NO TANGIBLE, SOLID EVIDENCE!!!!!! THAT'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!! I HAD BEEN REFUSED SERVICE, COMPLETELY HUMILIATED TO THE POINT I WILL NEVER SET FOOT INTO THAT STORE AGAIN ALL BASED ON THESE ZIT FACED PREPUBESCENT CHILDREN'S WORD!!!! I have since filed a complaint with corporate and attached the videos I had taken of the incident and I am thinking about a possible law suit for deformation of character, being falsely accused of a crime I did not commit and there is no evidence of and seek further retribution for the emotional, mental and social damage this has caused me. What happened to being innocent until proven guilty, given actual proof a crime was committed?!? What happened to customer service?!? It's absolutely atrocious the way people handle themselves...

8/29/25 I would like to know why Walmart doesn't have any kind of evacuation plan for when the power goes out? No emergency lighting, no bullhorns for employees to direct customers on what they should do? Does this place even have a manager? I was there today at the very back of the store looking for canned air which two of your employees said that they were on aisle G25, but when I looked multiple times I couldn't find any. But that part of the store is in the very back and when the power went out it was very dark. I had to use my phone flashlight just to see to get back to the main aisle. I saw many others do the same thing. I saw employees just wandering about not doing anything and didn't know what I was expected to do until I got to the very front and one employee was yelling to customers to leave their baskets and exit the store. Again, why is there no emergency lighting or evacuation plans at the store? I waited in my car for a half hour and the power hadn't come back on, so I left. Not very wise of management!

12/15 Walmart is going downhill with their customer service for supplies of items they say they have and they only had two checkers for Christmas rush really smart guys. Something is up at Walmart. They have done something to the floor from the front doors to where the clothing starts. They're having clearance sales on a lot of stuff. There was a big sign as you walk in saying something about joining Walmart, but it didn't explain anything and no one was sitting there. So who knows!Just a quick in and out but finally got a blender. Good prices. In some ways they've gotten better and in some way they've not. I don't think they are as crowded, but it seems a lot of shelves are either empty or have body a few things on them. I wish I could go to this store without the harassment by employees. They label you as stealing just because they want no accountability to treat others kindly, and the employees are allowed to abuse, take pictures of you, intimidate, and act rudely (like it's normal protocol) to spending customers. 2 years ago, I bought over $650 worth of items with my dad, and I was self checking out-and an employee did not like me doing that, so she made it her mission to make my life horrible when I go in. Stating lies I am stealing, and general rude comments to me and harassment. I would leave with high anxiety. Got the whole store just literally watching my every move. Sickening. I was asked to be not only a Walmart partner, but exclusively used Walmart spending over 60k in a 1 1/2 years and then this store made me never want to return. Want to shop in PEACE! I reported and nothing happens. 5 times reported. She acted like she was being emotionally harmed herself, and was allowed breaks when I went in. They scream at customers and cause fights too. I read other reviews that they literally instead of helping customers, label them as stealing as a ploy to treat people badly. Where is the general managers in all this? Where is the training?
