Spring Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ventura

I have gone to this restaurant on several occasions and each time my experience is the same. They seem to be extremely racist! Yes i could not believe it as well!! As soon as we walked in we were looked at from head to toe...i seriously thought something was out of place or maybe i had stepped in dog poop. Thwn we were made to wait while others were seated before us when we had come in before them. I just assumed they had a reservation or something. We were seated at the tables the servers dine at and next to the kitchen...mind you the restaurant was empty other than 2 tables which had entered after us. No place settings or napkins awaited us. We were constantly trying to get the servers attention....for water...place settings...order...order reminder...order correction...etc...you get the picture. Or bill was slapped on our table immediately As we began to eat and then the barrage of meals began comming out of the kitchen and our table and chairs were bumped insacessantly. Still i gave them the benefit of doubt figguring they are having a bad day or something.

We returned a few weeks later hoping for a more pleasent experience....amazingly enough it was identical to the first...we did go in a third time and when we were greeted by the same up and down looks and other patrons were seated before us althouvh they entered after us we decided at that point they were no longer going to recieve our business.. just to clarify i am a 60 year old woman who dresses nicely and has her nails done every 2-3 weeks, make up, and decent hair and was with my blonde daughter who is educated and carries herself well. I will NEVER return to this eatableshment and encourage others not to patronize them as well. I gave them the benefit of doubt until THEY removed all doubt!!

Completely horrible customer service. I called in my order 35 min. early for pick up, I enter no greet. I show my Axxess card for my discount & lady makes a face, ugh really why does she get mad why be part of a discount program if your going to make faces to customers for using it!!! Takes for ever to scan it, finally is going to ring me up and a group of 4 people walk in and she leaves me to go help them, of course sorry but yes they were white people & there was another lady helping her that could have gotten these people and no it was not busy at all, didn't get a sorry, excuse me or a please wait a second. Then as am asking about my order because it's still not ready the phone rings and again no excuse me or anything and she just answers the phone and completely ignores me. This place just lost what could have been a new customer that orders atleast $70/80 worth of food each time. Now for the food, the noodles were good, but both my house fried rice orders weren't good, my beef and broccoli tasted a bit burned and kung pao chicken and dumplings were average tasting. Totally not worth going to this place even more because customer service is everything and they don't treat there customers good!!! I'll stick to Gourmet Oriental on Main St. best place to eat, food is so good and customer service is...

I am telling you, food was mid, when we got sat down we needed to check over the menu but we felt instantly rushed once the server came back to take our order within a minute. Like we didn’t even have time to look over… anyways, we got our food and its was so so. We were still trying to finish our food and the server just came and took a plate away when we didn’t even finish. We asked for it back and continued on. At this point i was over it, asked for our check and paid using my card. Once the check book has handed back I literally sat there to grab my stuff but all the workers kept consistently walking by checking the receipt slip, which im guessing it to ensure we tipped. I would have loved to tip if the service was great… it wasn’t and food was poor quality, mind you the food was $70 total, for an appetizer and two entrees. Panda Express food seems much more tastier than what they served us. I grabbed my card and heading out with my mind of not coming back. I kid you not… this lady runs out into my car for a “signature”. Don’t waste your time here. Head over to tasty china if you want real authentic...
