Wow, I reserved the basic inflatables package for my daughters birthday (January 22,2016) at the uintah recreation center. After speaking with Shauna about the reservation I was so relieved that she was willing to do the reservation room 6-8 and the inflatable 6:30-8:30. After arriving I was barely greeted by the employees. After checking in they expected me to find my Room by myself while carrying a car seat and multiple bags, with 5 children in tote. They did not offer me a wagon or anything for that matter. After asking And being told I was in the first room to the left, when I got down there that room was full so I drug everything back down to the desk area no one could tell me where to go. After waiting for several minutes all the while 3 people were just sitting there someone finally showed me to my room. I set up and waited for our guests to arrive. Once there I kept looking into the gym to see if the inflatable was set up, it wasn't... It wasn't.. It wasn't... So after the kids being antsy I finally walked down to the desk (6:45) and waited several more minutes I asked why it wasn't inflated for my party. A young man finally came down and turned it on.. At about 7:10 we decided to do cupcakes. I gathered the kids up in the room where I was told I would have 15 chairs via phone reservation with Shauna. I only had 9. So parents and kids were left standing. We finished with cupcakes (7:20) only to find our inflatable down and no one to be found.. Finally after tracking someone down (7:30) the kids were able to play. At 7:45 we decided to do gifts... So we could clear the room. 7:55 the kids head back to the inflatable. Only to find it down again.. I was clearing the room put... The guy was close and was able to inflate it right away. They at 8 as I was walking all of our belongings out of the room my husband came to tell me that they said its over. It's 8:00. I said no. I spoke with Shauna and she said 8;30. No 8! So he inflated it once again and a lady came in to show me our reservation only shows til 8. How frustrating. I have kids here with no parents because I specifically said 8:30. They let us continue. The man watching over the inflatable then blamed my party for water near the inflatable. No it was not our party. We brought no water. It was the soccer team that was in the same side as us. Overall I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I couldn't believe the problems I constantly had during this party.

Read moreThe facility deserves 5 stars but management should be a negative 1. The pool is only open from 1 to 4 pm. They charge for 1 year old babies. My family showered before going in but our baby was sleeping. My wife sat just outside the pool till our baby woke up, (about an hour). She then went to join us in the pool but the lifeguard said she had to shower again becaise her hair wasn't wet. My wife and i told him that she already showered but he still said no. My wife said she just wouldn't swim and remain out of the pool. Then, because i am probably a little more scary than my wife in the eyes of a 16 to 18 year old kid, the lifeguard started harassing my wife after i left. At this time my wife was already sitting on the side, and continued to tell this kid that she wouldnt get into the pool. After a few minutes and as my wife was still just sitting on the outside, the manager came over and told her that if she wanted to get in the pool, she needed to shower or they could/would get her a water cap. 30 minutes later the pool closed... I am seriously glad I live in a place where the town government doesnt own the only water center. Any other time i visit Vernal i will not be going...
Read moreSuper strict rules & inflated prices compared to our Salt Lake County pools. We were in town visiting family and thought it would be fun to go swimming. The price was higher than our county rec pools. I get that every county has different budgets/ expenses, etc. I suppose it bothered me because I was bothered by their rules I addressed below. I showered my kids head to toe and showered myself up to my neck. I was staying with my 4 year old and planned to just stay in the shallow kiddie pool section and not get my hair wet. I was still asked to wear a ridiculous shower cap. The other option was to shower completely and come out with drenched hair. We were staying in Roosevelt and had dinner plans afterwards, which is why I didnt want wet hair. I completely understand the rule of showering first, I do. We did shower. Being wet from the neck down should've been sufficient for me as I was not going to submerge in the pool, which I didn't. It's extreme and unnecessary to set these strick rules. We will not be going...
