Avoid this place at all costs.
My girlfriend and I came here after we had to leave Vernal Brewing earlier than expected down the street due to a power outage. Not only was the beer and food tasty and decently priced, the service was top notch. Our entire meal was comped because of a power outage that lasted for about 45 min. If you decide to go, ask for Carlee.
We decided to come here since we saw the high ratings and enjoy Thai food. As we entered around 7pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted by a deserted restaurant with dirty plates on some of the tables. We were seated quickly, but we did not even get water for about 10-15 min. The dirty dishes remained for about 30 or so minutes.
We ordered the Tom Yum Soup and the Thai Spicy Duck Salad.
The soup is nothing like a Tom Yum that we've had anywhere else in our lives. I don't know how they're able to pass off such a classic and traditional dish as anything other than spicy boiled sock water. It's as if the chef forgot that salt exists. By far the most bland concoction of chicken and veggies thrown into hot water that I've ever had the displeasure to experience. If they even used the basic ingredients this broth calls for I would have said it would at least be passable. But there was absolutely no galangal, lime juice, fish sauce, Kaffir lime leaves, or LEMONGRASS in this hot veggie chicken water attempting to masquerade as a soup. We added salt. We added soy sauce. We added more salt to try to save this travesty from itself, but it was beyond help.
After all of this, our waitress didn't even offer to comp the soup. She seemed apologetic enough and thanked us for our feedback for the future. But if you read some of the other reviews, this soup has remained the same for at least a year so don't hold your breath.
We tipped a more than generous 15% despite the slow service and messy interior. Any one of these things wouldn't be enough to bring us down from our standard 20%, but this perfect storm of inadequacy left us both wondering how this place has managed to remain in business.
I wouldn't be surprised if I spent more time on this review than they have on their Tom Yum Soup "recipe."

Read moreMe and my partner are passing through Vernal and we love Thai food so we decided to stop by for dinner. We ordered the Panang curry and the Pad Thai Our meals arrived quickly! The curry was great, we both loved it! The Pad Thai however was not edible, if you've ever had Pad Thai you kinda know what to expect when ordering it but the flavors were so off. it was Tangy and tasted like it was made with something that had possibly been bad! We each took 1-2 bites and decided we didn't like it and weren't going to eat it. We kindly sent it back and just told our waitress we didn't like the way it tasted. The entire dish was still plated. She said she could take the dish but we still have to pay for it. I told her I'm so sorry but we do not want to pay for an expensive plate that we didn't eat more than 4 total bites of. She proceeded to argue with me and told me she doesn't care if we didn't like it we still need to pay for it. She then removes the curry that we're still eating from our table without asking if we we were finished or wanted a box (we did) and puts it into the garbage. I asked her again to please adjust my check so that I can pay for the entree we did eat and leave and explained to her that we need to leave. She refused to adjust it and ignored our table while continuing to work and take care of other people around us. I then went to the register and explained to someone else what had happened and asked her to please remove the food we didn't eat so that we could leave. She walked away without saying anything and without adjusting our check. At this point I was truly getting mad. I spoke with our waitress again and explained to her I've worked in the service industry for years and would never expect or ask a customer to pay for a meal they couldn't eat and sent back. Anyways- finally after tons of haggle and arguing I got them to adjust our check so that we could pay for our 1 entree and our 1 drink and go. Truthfully an insane restaurant experience, we will not be back!
edit: Forgot to mention that my boyfriend tried to order a beer from their beer menu and then we were told they don't have beer which was weird since they had an entire menu...
Read moreWe first discovered Thai Food by accident while living in upstate NY. The restaurant we went to had previously been a Mexican restaurant, which had now become Thai. We stayed. It turns out that this restaurant in Albany (now out of business) was a world class Thai restaurant. We now judge all Thai restaurants using them as a standard. I have since spent many hours successfully recreating many of their dishes after much practice and research. We searched for Thai restaurants in Vernal not having great expectations in spite of their 4+ star rating and chose Lemongrass based on the menu. I can only say that you will not be disappointed! We were there in early June for lunch. My wife finds it hard to pick anything other Massaman Curry. It was amazing. I always try something I've never had that sounds good, if I can. I chose a beef plate that I think was a special that day. I can not find it on the menu now. The menu was so extensive, I had a hard time picking a meal. I let my server choose based on my two choices. It was very different from anything I've ever had. Very good, but I rarely try beef because it is often just a pick a meat recipe. This was a beef designed recipe. I am also a woodworker and inquired with the owner about their amazing tables. I wanted to buy some of the wood if possible. The owner was amazing and opened during Covid. She even tried to buy more tables when they added on, but the supplier went out of business. Every detail is just perfect - from the extensive menu wonderfully presented, outstanding service even with labor shortages, the lighting and even the tables are works of art. But above all - go for the food! A true find where you'd never expect. It is perhaps our 2nd favorite Thai restaurant of all time. If we lived in the area, we wouldn't eat...
