Abby’s Cafe — Restaurant in Vernal

I recently dined at Abby's Restaurant and had a mixed experience. While the overall cleanliness of the place and the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Dave, were commendable, the quality of one dish left much to be desired.

First, I must highlight the positive aspects of my visit. Abby's Restaurant was impressively clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for customers. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my meal. Dave, our waiter, stood out with his charm and helpfulness, enhancing our dining experience.

However, my excitement waned when I ordered the eggs benedict. Unfortunately, this dish fell short of my expectations. The hollandaise sauce, disappointingly, tasted like it was store-bought and left a bitter flavor in my mouth. A homemade hollandaise sauce can elevate eggs benedict to a whole new level, but in this case, it failed to deliver. The muffin used for the eggs benedict was also store-bought, lacking the freshness and homemade touch that could have made a difference. On the positive side, the egg itself was perfectly cooked, which was a saving grace for the dish.

It is important to note that while the eggs benedict left room for improvement, the overall dining experience was not ruined. Abby's Restaurant deserves credit for its cleanliness, attentive staff, and the effort put into other aspects of the menu. It would be wonderful to see more attention given to the quality and freshness of ingredients in dishes like the eggs benedict to maintain consistency...

Food is great, service was slow. We had a group of four that stopped in for a quick breakfast. We ended up waiting for about an hour and 20 minutes. They were reasonably busy, but definitely not slammed. Not sure what the issue was, but I would assume that this was out of the norm. This is the only thing that keeps me from giving them all 5 stars, as the food was very, very good. If it is their normal time for service, I would still eat there just based on the food quality and the friendly staff! The boysenberry jam was phenomenal! I hate toast, but I would have eaten this jam on a napkin if I had to. They do pack and sell jars of their homemade jams. I have a jar in my fridge right now. Also, try the homemade pies. After gorging myself, I didn't have room but they did look really good. I suspect that they are also just as impressive as...

Literally the BEST breakfast I have had possibly ever! (If you love homeade jam that hits the spot) I have found my new favorite place to get my French toast and eggs Benedict fix! Also the iced tea is pretty great as well not too weak but just right! The toast is flavorful and not gooey or raw. It takes just like something I would make at home which is what I crave. Cinnamon, vanilla, and thick bread -all essential! The hollandaise is so balanced and flavorful. It's not bland, too eggy, or lemony. It's rich without being overwhelming. The crispy ham is also a perfect compliment to everything else. It's thin and crispy without being tough. It's Smokey and salty snd perfect. I cannot wait to go back!! BRAVO!!!
