La Cabana Restaurant — Restaurant in Vernal

Went here based on positive reviews. I'm not sure what hallucinogenic drugs these positive reviewers were on. The food was barely mediocre for half my party, actually barely palatable. I could not even eat mine. It was bland; flavorless, no spice and the pork was dry. One cannot call this Mexican food. I ate 3 bites total which was all I could stomach. My kids' cheeseburgers were not any better than a bad school cafeteria burger. I did say something to the waitress who just said, "hm, sorry". Honestly, a restaurant should offer to take it off the ticket when it's too bad to even eat. On top of that, the waitress barely paid attention to us; gave us our food and disappeared. This restaurant was definitely not worth the $60 I spent taking my family there on our short vacation. Not good, not very friendly. Save your money, spare your taste buds and stomach aches...go to...

Very affordable.... Probably more accurate to say cheap food, though. The best part of the meal was the chips & salsa. Entrees were nothing special, just edible. Rice was rather dry. Everything was covered in that cheap pre-shredded orange & white cheese. Not a lot of flavour, but some of the sauces under the cheap American cheese tasted promising. The beans were better than the rice. I think the kitchen would really improve their menu if they started using higher quality ingredients. My food came with a side of tough & fibrous lettuce with pale whitish/pinkish tomatoes covered in thick orange salad dressing (Russian? Thousand island?). Also, it's a dry restaurant. They don't even have a beer license. No margaritas, no micheladas. First Mexican dinner restaurant I've ever been to that doesn't...

Slow service. Runny salsa. Subpar food. We came in no one greeted us. Finally someone came to sit us she got distracted asked someone else to seat us. We asked for a booth he was visibly annoyed he had to clean off the booth. Family ordered. Took 45 minutes to get food.had to get silverware myself They forgot my order. I told her never mind when she came to tell me when I asked someone else where my plate was, as my family was almost done eating now. Few minutes later she brought it out anyway asked if I still wanted it, I reluctantly said ok since I was starving. Ate. No one came to pickup check. They didn’t offer to comp the forgotten meal or discount or anything. They did give boxes to put leftovers in free of charge. Save time and money...
